A frustrated spoke to the press following Atlético Madrid’s 1-0 home defeat to Celta Vigo on Saturday evening. Asked what this side needs to win, Simeone chose a blunt answer. “That’s a question that would take much longer to answer than I have time for,” he said. “I’d say (Atleti’s next opponent) Osasuna.” Diego Simeone […]
In the preseason, nobody circled James Madison on Northwestern’s calendar. Why would they? The Dukes were unranked. The schedule featured the likes of North Carolina, Maryland and Boston College. Turns out nobody told JMU they weren’t supposed to be here. Shelley Klaes brought her No. 22 Dukes to Martin Stadium and ended up crafting a […]
The spring volleyball portal window has been kind to the Arizona Wildcats. While the team lost two to the late portal, they have added two in the past several days and there are indications that a third is on the way. The Wildcats announced the signing of former San Diego opposite Kennedy Osunsanmi on May […]
4pm CT on SECN+. If ever you questioned the baseball gods, last night’s game taught us what happens when they let Cthulu sub in for Jobu for a day. To start, rain kept postponing the opening pitch. Then, Corbs kept The Spice in (as he should have done last week) for 7 IP of 5 […]
Exiting another disappointing season, the Miami Heat have a lot of questions they must answer heading into the 2026 offseason. They were able to duck the luxury tax last season, avoiding any repeater tax penalties. And they are entering this offseason with over $35 million in projected space under the luxury tax, so they will […]
The post The Heat’s biggest hole entering 2026 summer is quite obvious appeared first on Hot Hot Hoops - Miami HEAT NBA Blog .
At a time when the WNBA didn’t want out players, NY Liberty player Sue Wicks was publicly out and proud of it.
All things considered, it has been a sensational 2026 for Manchester United. After a dismal first half of the campaign, which saw them lose to League Two side Grimsby Town in the EFL Cup, Rúben Amorim was sacked as manager with the club sixth in the Premier League table. Darren Fletcher took charge on an […]
The NBA Playoffs roll onward today as the Cleveland Cavaliers try to turn around their second-round series against the Detroit Pistons while the Los Angeles Lakers desperately flail against the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder. Both series switch venues for the first time. Maybe that will make a difference? Either way, you can talk about […]
Going behind the scenes for an insider’s view of the Indianapolis Colts is always an anticipated event. Hearing from Chris Ballard and the scouts is worthwhile as they sort through the lengthy draft process. This year’s version is “The Draft Plan”. While it is certainly worth the watch, it’s hard to not be a bit […]
The lead never felt comfortable. It was weird. Ungainly. 7-1. Unsightly. 9-1. The offense was ugly. Stilted. 11-1. We were making more shots than the Wolves, sure, but that felt like a technicality. 14-1. Keldon hit a three. We still looked off. There were five minutes left in the first quarter and the Wolves had […]
Go Rays!
The Nats did not score after the first inning last night, but the three runs they put up were enough to win the game. Foster Griffin was fabulous and the bullpen secured the win. They are now only one game under .500, with a chance to be 20-20 if they win today. With a righty […]
Here are your player ratings from Manchester United’s 0-0 draw against Sunderland: Starters Senne Lammens – 8 Made some great saves and was the biggest factor in helping the team get a clean sheet. Noussair Mazraoui – 6 Has been a bit rusty all season. Capable of doing better, but needs a run of games. […]
The 32nd annual NFLPA Rookie Premiere is set to take place in Los Angeles, California from May 14-16, and the Chicago Bears will be represented by one of their new wide receivers at the event. The team’s third round pick out of Mississippi State, Zavion Thomas, has been announced as one of the 42 rookies […]
Kentucky Basketball has made a polarizing addition to its 2026-27 roster, announcing that Washington Huskies center Franck Kepnang has signed with the program. A 6-foot-11, 253-pound native of Cameroon, Kepnang is not yet eligible for next season, as he’s been in college since the 2020-21 season while at Oregon and was briefly recruited out of […]
OK, so that was lackluster. The Orioles did it again on Friday night, taking a pedestrian starter in Jacob Lopez (err, that’s generous, even for someone with a 6.60 ERA entering last night) and making him look like an ace. They managed just two runs off of Lopez, both on solo home runs. So does […]
Well here we are. The Philadelphia Flyers are facing elimination from the playoffs and being slightly embarrassed by the Carolina Hurricanes as they get swept in their own building. While it is almost impossible to imagine the Flyers are even capable of coming back in this series, all we’re asking for is one single win that we can point at as a reason why we shouldn’t be even more disheartened by the performance in this second round.

The Braves face the Los Angeles Deathstars in game 2 of their weekend 3-game series and this is the game with the biggest name value in the pitching matchup, as Spencer Strider faces off with Blake Snell. Strider’s first outing of the season last week went pretty poorly in Colorado, but it was also in […]
What a game to open the Dallas Wings’ 2026 season after two years wandering through the WNBA wilderness. The Wings (1-0) held off a hard-charging second-half comeback attempt from the Indiana Fever (0-1) at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday, 107-104. Arike Ogunbowale led the Wings with 22 points on 8-of-15 shooting, Paige Bueckers added 20 on […]
Stefon Diggs is from the DMV. He was born in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He went to high school near there. Then he went to the University of Maryland before moving on to the NFL. Diggs has played 11 productive-as-heck seasons since then, starring for the Vikings, Bills, Texans and Patriots. He became an unrestricted free agent this spring after New England released him, […]
#3 Georgia Tech Baseball’s magic number for the ACC Regular Season title coming into Friday was 5, and they head home tonight at that same number/one step closer after a 10-9 win to the Duke Blue Devils in extra innings. Tech is now 40-8 (20-5 ACC) on the season. They have now surpassed their conference […]
Nothing, and I do mean nothing has gone right for the Cincinnati Reds for the better part of two weeks. On Saturday, they’ll once again get the chance to show they’re better than they’ve been during this brutal 8-game losing streak, and they’ll fortunately have their resident ace on the mound in young Chase Burns. […]
At one point in time, it seemed like the race for Favour Ibe was down to Florida International and Villanova. But as of late, Tennessee and Virginia started getting involved with the four-star recruit. Ibe has since made his decision official, choosing the Cavaliers over Villanova and others. With the reported return of Nico Onyekwere, […]
There was a time when the thought of Portland Trail Blazers center Robert Williams III getting another non-veteran minimum deal was a stretch. Just 12 months ago, Williams appeared to have been beaten by a multitude of injuries, which had kept him to just 26 games through his first two seasons with the Blazers. Once […]
