WSU Track Trio Travels to NCAA Outdoor Championships

Three Washington State track student-athletes qualified for the 2026 NCAA Division-I Outdoor Track & Field Championships, June 10-13, at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon. Rosemary Longisa will compete in the 1500-meter run national semifinals, and Caroline Jepkorir will compete in the 3000-meter steeplechase. Evans Kurui will represent the men and run in the national championship for the 10,000- and 5,000-meter events.

Ben Borgida's Leadership in Building Community Earns Him Top 10 Senior Award

Ben Borgida was standing next to the CUB elevator when he got a call that he thought was spam. Despite not recognizing the number, Borgida picked up the phone and learned he was named one of Washington State University's 2026 Top 10 Seniors. Borgida, who was surprised by the call, said the honor gave him a "good moment of reflection" and he immediately called his parents to tell them.

2026 Soccer Conference Schedule Released

PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State soccer team will play eight Pac-12 Conference games as part of its upcoming 2026 schedule, the Conference announced Tuesday. The Cougars will host four Pac-12 games at Lower Soccer Field and play four conference road games, before participating in the inaugural Pac-12 Women's Soccer Tournament, November 11-15.

Jepkorir and Longisa Earn Bids to NCAA Championships

Washington State sophomore runners Caroline Jepkorir and Rosemary Longisa clinched their spots at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the final day of the NCAA West First Rounds. Jepkorir qualified in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase, while Longisa clocked the fastest time in the 1,500-meter quarterfinals.

Washington State sophomore distance runner Evans Kurui finished third in his section of the 5,000-meter run national semifinals, Friday evening at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field West First Rounds, earning qualification to the championship race as part of the NCAA Championship next month in Eugene, Oregon.

Longisa Cruises to 1500-Meter NCAA Quarterfinals

Washington State sophomore runner Rosemary Longisa cruised to a first-place finish in the opening heat of the women's 1,500-meter at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field West First Rounds, Thursday evening. Longisa clinched her spot in Saturday's national quarterfinals, set to commence at 3:15 p.m. PT (5:15 p.m. CT) at John McDonnell Field at the University of Arkansas.
