He’s back! And just in time, yesterday was not the opener the Atlanta Braves were looking for to start this homestead against the Miami Marlins. The early pulling of Grant Holmes initially raised concerns until Walt Weiss’ reasoning behind his decision was later explained. Let’s look at these pitching matchups to gear up for game […]
Newcastle United are expected to address several key areas of their squad during the upcoming transfer window, with the goalie rotation a clear priority. Performances in net have been mediocre to say the least, no matter if they’ve come for the starter-turned-backup or the backup-turned-starter. Nick Pope has remained part of the lineup at times […]
A sentiment I’ve seen expressed towards Philadelphia’s participation in the NBA Play-In Tournament, both in person and online, is apathy. The line of thinking goes that the Sixers aren’t at all likely to win the title this year, so why worry if the season ends this week or if it is prolonged until after a […]
The second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals kicks off in about 90 minutes. Atletico Madrid will look to defend their 2-0 first leg lead over Barcelona, while Liverpool also face a two-goal hill they will have to climb if they are to beat Paris Saint-Germain and make it to the final four. Unfortunately both […]
Atlético de Madrid are 90 minutes from returning to the UEFA Champions League semifinals for the first time in nine years. After securing a 2-0 win at Camp Nou last Wednesday, Atlético are back at the Metropolitano, where Diego Simeone’s side never has lost a knockout game in the Champions League. In fact, Atleti have […]
The Avalanche are likely still getting into the swing of the day after their SO victory in Edmonton last night. Still, the NHL schedule is relentless, even for game 81, as they will face the Flames tonight in Calgary on the second of a back-to-back. That means MacKenzie Blackwood in the net, but will we […]
Most MLB teams, including the Cubs, have gone to all-digital ticketing. You can get a paper Cubs ticket… sometimes… depending on the circumstances. This began after the pandemic shut ballparks to fans in 2020. The last year the Cubs issued paper season tickets to fans was 2019, and Wrigley Field — plus most other MLB […]
If it felt as though the transfer portal was off to a slow start, blame the stealth like approach Dennis Gates has taken each of the last two years. But the tremors of noise around Mizzou’s interest in Providence transfer wing Jamier Jones has been the one constant. A report from On3 confirmed Jones will […]
Real Madrid put forward midfielder Jude Bellingham to face the media ahead of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg against Bayern Munich as he said: “We’re aware of our situation and we’re ready. We’re mentally prepared. Tomorrow’s match is a final for us; ultimately, our season is on the line. And we’re going to […]
After the Winnipeg Jets have been blown out in their last 2 matches, they will get no rest in a back-to-back situation. The reality of missing the playoffs has fully sunk in for the players….and that fact is noticeable in their on ice efforts. At least we get to watch some of the young kids get a shot in the big league for a few games before the off-season kicks off for our franchise.
Busy day today…..so the preview is going to be brief today.

Boston Red Sox pitcher Garrett Crochet is the true definition of an ace: dependable, dominant, and downright terrifying to step into the box against. So… what the hell is going on? Crochet has been unusually shaky to kickstart the season, allowing nearly as many runs (18) as strikeouts recorded (22) — with those aggressively poor […]

The Miami Dolphins and running back De'Von Achane are "not close" on a new deal. Could they look to the draft for possible replacements?
Well, here we are. After a long, 82-game season full of twists and turns, we’ve arrived at the start of a playoff journey. Conventional wisdom said that the Toronto Raptors would be the first-round opponent entering Sunday, but the Orlando Magic somehow lost to the Celtics’ C-team, so here we are. Whatever way you feel […]
The Portland Trail Blazers have at least one firm believer in NBA media circles when it comes to their chances in the 2026 NBA Play-In Tournament. That would be Henry Abbott of TrueHoop, who released an article on substack yesterday [subscription required] explaining why the Blazers were most certainly, pretty much definitely, honestly for sure […]
It was yet another sweep for the Husky softball team this weekend, as they improve their already sterling record to 34-9 and their conference record to an unbelievable 15-0, with 5 series wins! Their opponent: the now 14-27 Minnesota Golden Gophers, who sit at 6-13 away from home after the conclusion of this series. But […]

The hits just keep coming for the Brewers, and not in a good way. Christian Yelich, who left Sunday’s game early with a hamstring issue, has landed on the injured list, which was not unexpected after manager Pat Murphy’s comments after the game. He’s been diagnosed with an adductor strain. Outfielder Greg Jones, who has […]
During the last couple weeks of the regular season, Doc Rivers kept dropping hints that his time as Bucks head coach would be concluding after the season, much to the fanbase’s relief. As we wait to find out if Rivers will have a future role with the team as a consultant/advisor, which had also been […]
The Philadelphia Flyers handed out their year-end team awards on Tuesday prior to their season finale against Montreal. And while there were a few winners who previously walked away with some hardware, there were also a few newcomers who were lauded for their respective 2025-26 seasons.
