After a wild — but not wholly unexpected — unfolding of events through the first round, we’re right back at it again today for the final six rounds of the draft. The Flyers picked up a bit more ammunition for themselves last night, and that opens the door for things to get a little bit more interesting around here, and we’ll see soon what they end up getting up to.

Although they moved down six slots and acquired two additional draft picks for Saturday, Philadelphia Flyers general manager Danny Briere says he thinks London Knights defenseman Maksim Sokolovskii will take some time to develop. But believes it will be well worth the wait.
The Flyers selected Sokolovskii with the twenty-seventh overall pick, sliding down a half dozen slots after San Jose traded their first-round, second-round, and fourth-round selections. The blueliner is 6’7″ and 240 po...

In the middle of the first round of the 2026 NHL Draft, a little bit of a miniature bombshell was dropped by The Athletic’s Pierre LeBrun. The NHL insider has been all over the Zach Werenski story over there for the Columbus Blue Jackets and he just decided to put out a list of teams who are almost certainly going to call if the reigning Norris Trophy winner is available in a trade.
While it is expected that the true Stanley Cup contenders who could certainly use a No. 1 defenseman like W...

The Philadelphia Flyers picked a whole lot later than we are used to and they utilized this 27th overall pick — after a trade down from pick No. 21 with the San Jose Sharks — to select London Knights defenseman Maksim Sokolovskii. He’s a big boy as the 6-foot-7 blueliner was taken off the pile of young prospects and taken by the Flyers to add to their increasingly large pile of players whose main characteristic is that they have size.
Sokolovskii is simply going for someone who is bigger ...

With the 21st pick of the 2026 NHL draft, the Philadelphia Flyers have selected … Nobody.
After some speculation that the Flyers could trade back a few spots in order to accrue some more picks later on in the draft, they ended up doing just that, sending their 21st overall selection to the San Jose Sharks for the 27th overall selection, the 62nd overall selection, and the 120th overall selection.
With the resulting 27th overall pick, the Flyers would then select Maksim Sokolovs...

Draft Day is upon us, and like every year, there’s a host of mocks and rumors floating around that are trying to decipher who the Flyers are going to be taking with their first round pick.
The Athletic’s Kevin Kurz noted in a brief draft day report that The Athletic’s Corey Pronman has heard rumblings that the Flyers have been linked with Moncton defenseman Tommy Bleyl, especially if they are to make a trade that drops them closer to the end of the first round.

The 2026 NHL Draft is here. Well, in a few hours.
All of the drafts have been mocked. Dinners with prospects have been eaten. And the rumors are swirling after a whirlwind of NHL trades already completed this week.
The Philadelphia Flyers only have one pick in the first round of this year’s draft, and it could very well be on the move. However, as of now, we know that they own the 21st overall selection on Friday night.
So, after rounding up some of the projections throughout th...

The Philadelphia Flyers are trying a whole lot of things in what has been a wild week in the NHL. While their only two moves so far this offseason has been smartly getting a very capable tandem goaltender in Joseph Woll from the Maple Leafs, and sending Garnet Hathaway home to Florida for a nice little package of draft picks, there is speculation that something much bigger is going to go down in the coming days with the 2026 NHL Draft kicking off Friday night.
Unfortunately, they might ha...
We’ve reached the end of the line, folks! After well over a month’s worth of work, toiling through these picks, we’ve made it all the way through our approximation of the first round.
It was another spectacular edition of the Community Draft Board, and we thank you for your participation in it. We have a 32 prospects profiled and a first round order which is still close enough to the consolidated or consensus ranking, but still carries our own flair. The order is perfect, because it is ou...

Thursday morning the Flyers announced that they traded veteran forward Garnet Hathaway and a sixth-round pick in the 2026 National Hockey League draft in exchange for a fourth-round pick in 2026 and a fifth-round pick in 2027. Although Hathaway had a better than expected first round series against Pittsburgh, the energy player looked like he had lost a step most of the season, ending up with just a goal and a pair of assists in 66 games. It was a dramatic drop even for a fourth-line winger who...
The Philadelphia Flyers have finally got in the chaos of what has been the NHL trade market this week. And it’s sending veteran forward Garnet Hathaway to the Florida Panthers in a deal that involves multiple draft picks.
Announced by the team on Thursday morning, the Flyers have sent Garnet Hathaway to the Panthers, along with their 2026 sixth-round pick, in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round pick, and a 2027 fourth-round pick. The Flyers are also retaining 50% of Hathaway’s salary.

We’ve made it to the end of the line, folks! Over the last month and a half, we’ve worked our way through our very own ranking of the top-32 prospects in this draft, and today we’re rounding it out with our final profile, getting to known Casey Mutryn.
Another interesting wing prospect out of the NTDP, Mutryn isn’t a hugely flashy player, but his foundational size and fierceness in him game give him a higher floor than a number of the other prospects in and around this same range, and wit...
The two newest additions to the Philadelphia Flyers — goaltender Joseph Woll and defenseman Simon Benoit — spoke to the local media Wednesday regarding their new club and what the future holds for each of them. Woll — who was looking at his hockey card collection when he was notified of the deal — went through different emotions on hearing the deal. But Woll said a phone call from Benoit “really helped for me see how an unbelievable opportunity this was.”

As the week winds down, we’re just a few short days away from the draft. The Flyers find themselves in an interesting position with this one — with a few key areas of their pipeline needing some attention, not many picks to work with, and a relatively thin draft to work within, how they tackle this draft will be an interesting process to watch unfold.
There’s been a lot of noise around the Flyers and their particular need to pick up a center in this draft — and that’s informed quite a few...
For weeks, everyone in and around the National Hockey League knew the order teams were selecting in round one of the NHL draft Friday night in Buffalo. It wasn’t a huge surprise where various teams were picking, with the Flyers set to pick in the twenty-first slot. Philadelphia general manager Danny Briere, assistant general manager Brent Flahr, and the entire Flyers scouting staff have various game plans as to which player might be available at that selection. Or whether it would be wiser for...

The Philadelphia Flyers already addressed one of their needs, trading for goaltender Joseph Woll from the Toronto Maple Leafs to play behind Dan Vladar in the crease. That’s just one of a few positions of need this offseason for the Flyers, though.
We can talk about top-line centers all day long, but they don’t become available very often. Danny Briere will surely be working the phones trying to find a good deal, potentially with the Ottawa Senators after the Brady Tkachuk trade.
But...
In what’s been a really chaotic day across the NHL, with players like Simon Nemec, Jordan Kyrou, and William Eklund all on the move, but the Philadelphia Flyers may be getting in on the fun.
Instead of a trade though, the Flyers may be close to inking an extension with defenseman Jamie Drysdale. According to Andy Strickland, the deal isn’t done yet, but “it will get done”.
Extension between the Flyers and Jamie Drysdale isn’t done but it will get done. Stay tuned… — Andy...
The NHL is in the middle of the busiest time of the year. Trades are flying all over the league and by the time I finish writing this sentence, there might be another one done that changes a team’s direction or solves a team’s long-term problem. But this week will end with the 2026 NHL Draft taking place in Buffalo and the Philadelphia Flyers are in an interesting spot.
With the 21st overall pick, the Flyers have a couple options ahead of them. They can go more safe and understand that if...
Having just wrapped up his fourth full season in the NHL, Flyers’ center Noah Cates brought with him through this year his central brand of defensively responsible hockey, but continued to build on the other elements of his game. Though somewhat under the radar, he reached new heights in production and worked to round out his game nicely, and proved himself as an even more critical pieces to the Flyers’ forward mix.

The penultimate name on our 2026 BSH draft board, the talented Niagara Ice Dogs winger Ryan Roobroeck finally finds his way onto the rankings, after a season that ended in injury and left scouts wanting more.
Throughout his early career in the Ontario Hockey League, Roobroeck was tipped to be a potential top-15, or even top-10 pick whenever he was draft eligible. But as he aged, he failed to really fulfill the sky-high potential that was expected of him, remaining largely the same p...
