The Philadelphia Eagles are losing passing game coordinator/defensive backs coach Christian Parker. Not ideal. Even worse, he’s joining the Dallas Cowboys as their new defensive coordinator. This much according to a report from NFL insider Tom Pelissero. We knew this outcome was possible; Parker recently drew DC interviews from Dallas and the Green Bay Packers. […]
Dortmund took a large (and loud) away contingent to London for this midweek tie that would see the winner jump to the automatic qualification spots. Thomas Frank’s Spurs came into it on the back of five winless games, with stale displays seeing ever-increasing numbers of fans voice their discontent with his management. By contrast, we […]
The Blackhawks have a tough test tonight. The Canes are 18-8-1 at home, have won three straight and are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games. They also have the second-best goal differential (plus-28) in the Eastern Conference.
But the Blackhawks should get a boost with the return of Frank Nazar tonight. He’ll be back in his usual spot up front, which helps lengthen the Hawks’ lineup. This stacks up as a good measuring stick for the young Blackhawks.

The Miami Heat visit Moda Center tonight for a rematch with Deni Avdija and the Portland Trail Blazers. Miami won its last contest with Portland on November 8th by a score of 136-131. In that game, the Heat looked like Blazers East. Its offense often resembled the Blazers’ combination of drives, kickout passes, swings around the […]
The Dallas Cowboys are working to hire Philadelphia Eagles defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator Christian Parker to be their new defensive coordinator. The news was reported by NFL Network on Thursday. Dallas has been looking for a new defensive coordinator for multiple weeks now and is among the first teams with vacancies at […]
Despite leaving as a UConn national champion last April, Paige Bueckers will return to her former home court this summer — one of them, at least. As part of the WNBA’s schedule release, the Connecticut Sun announced it’ll host Bueckers and the Dallas Wings at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford on Tuesday, July 2 at 8 […]
A report from Jordan Schultz on Wednesday indicated that the Las Vegas Raiders are looking for an “offensive minded” coach to pair with likely first overall selection Fernando Mendoza. Additionally, Schultz went on to mention the top three candidates seem to be Klint Kubiak, Davis Webb, and Jesse Minter. While Minter is a defensive minded […]
If you’re an Edmonton Oilers fan planning to watch tonight’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, you might want to brace yourself. The lineup Kris Knoblauch is rolling out isn’t just unconventional — it’s borderline experimental. And not in the fun, exciting way. More in the “hold on tight and hope for the best” way. Ryan…

Last month, it was revealed that a large group of players were making it well known that the administration of UNC seemed to be moving on in the their plans for the next basketball arena without getting input from a seemingly important group of people—players who played in Smith Center for the last 40 years […]
Ed Note: There is speculation that the Cowboys will hire Christian Parker as the new defensive coordinator. That news popped minutes after this article went out. The Dallas Cowboys are inching closer to a defensive coordinator hire, moving into the second round of interviews. The first one they brought in for the second round was […]
After an all-conference season at San Francisco, Malik Thomas transferred to Virginia with similar expectations on head coach Ryan Odom’s brand new roster. In non-conference play, Thomas’ numbers were not quite at that level — averaging 11.1 points, 1.8 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game. In the six ACC games since, those numbers have spiked […]

After she led the Orange to two wins last week, Syracuse point guard Dominique Darius was one of five players named National Player of the Week by the US Basketball Writers Association. Darius helped Syracuse to wins over California and Stanford last week. It was her game-winning 3 that pushed the Orange to the triple-overtime […]
It was a good year for Phillies on the Hall of Fame ballot. As expected, Chase Utley did not get elected in this, his third year on the ballot. Neither did Jimmy Rollins, Bobby Abreu, or newcomer Cole Hamels. Again, no surprises there. However, Utley’s stock increased greatly in 2026, seeing a 19.3% increase from […]
Probably most important to say up front that (1) we don’t know Justin Steele’s exact return timeline yet, (2) we will know a ton more by the end of Spring Training, and (3) even if he’s “ahead of schedule” in his rehab right now, that may not actually impact the volume of regular season innings he puts up. It would simply be good and happy news for today.
Steele and the Cubs are going to be VERY careful to ensure that his return from elbow surgery is optimally timed for his long-term heal...
Chicago Bears assistant coaches Al Harris and Declan Doyle are generating interest for coaching opportunities elsewhere. And while this is no surprise when you consider the successful season the Bears just had, it is something that also brings me mixed feelings. Because while I like the implications that come with other teams wanting to poach Ben Johnson’s coaching staff, I hate that Chicago’s football team is at risk of losing some key assistants.
Here is the news:

Penn State has quickly found a replacement following the cancellation of the 2027 non-conference game with Delaware. Penn State will now host the Maine Black Bears in week two, set for September 11, 2027. This will mark the first meeting between Penn State and Maine on the football field. The Black Bears are coming off […]

A stretch of games against top-tier opponents for the Hawks begins on Thursday night in Raleigh against the Carolina Hurricanes.
In the last seven seasons, Carolina has typically resided near the top of the league standings and has made a trio of conference final appearances — but they haven’t been able to clear that last hurdle just yet. This season continues the regular-season portion of that trend, with the Hurricanes all alone atop the Metro with 66 points in 50 games (31-15-4), well ...
Chelsea beat Pafos 1-0 yesterday, in the UEFA Champions League, but the match brought a couple more injury concerns. The Wisconsin Badgers head to the Bryce Jordan Center on Thursday for a matchup against the Penn State Nittany Lions that looks lopsided on paper but has been dangerous in years past. While Penn State sits near the bottom of the Big Ten, Bucky has struggled against subpar Nittany Lions teams in the recent past. […]
The first trade deadline is right around the corner as the Olympic break roster freeze is set for February 4th. Will the Lightning make a move before this deadline? Honestly, who knows? As usual, the Lightning are playing things close to the vest and there is no news leaking out of the Channelside offices. General Manager Julien BriseBois was as vague as usual during his mid-season check-in , downplaying the Lightning’s chances of being a big player on the trade market.

The San Francisco 49ers took a different approach to free agency this past offseason, electing to shed veteran salaries and clear their books more, while also letting several players depart in free agency. In return, the 49ers didn’t make any major splash signing, with Luke Farrell’s three-year, $15.75 million contract being the biggest they handed […]
