UPDATE: Jrue Holiday and Robert Williams III are both AVAILABLE to play. The Portland Trail Blazers have won five games in a row for the first time since 2021 – yes, seriously – and they look to keep the train rolling against the Knickerbockers of New York. We also may or may not get Jrue […]
The Nets are coming off the kind of loss that fans aren’t exactly furious about. Brooklyn fell at the buzzer at home, but the game itself felt like a step forward. Egor Dëmin went on an absolute tear in the final moments, both in the fourth quarter and OT. There was no stopping Egor from […]
Every NBA season has peaks and valleys. Right now, the Miami Heat are in their steepest valley of the season to date. They have lost by 28 and 24 points, respectively, over their last two games to the Minnesota Timberwolves and Indiana Pacers. It might be useful to throw away the film. But there’s a […]

Bam Adebayo is in a clear offensive slump right now, and it’s hurting the Miami Heat. That statement says a lot, considering all the other things Adebayo brings to the table to impact winning. He remains the team’s greatest defender by far, and still adds that versatility of switching 1-5 on a nightly basis. The […]

After the Miami Heat got embarrassed by the depleted and last place Indiana Pacers on Saturday, it showed that this group has a lot of work to do. And if there’s any good time to attempt to put in that work, it’s now— as the roster is finally fully healthy. The problem with the Heat’s […]

Coming off a gritty win over the Los Angeles Lakers, the Spurs traveled to Boston to face the Celtics. Devin Vassell would remain out with an adductor injury. Just like the Lakers game, this game turned out to be a brick competition mixed in with solid defense. Both teams shot 41% and under from the […]
The Edmonton Oilers still can’t win three consecutive games. They were handed a prime opportunity on Saturday, with the Los Angeles Kings coming to town fresh off a loss in Winnipeg the night before. Leon Draisaitl, who was honoured prior to puck drop for reaching 1,000 career NHL points, opened the scoring midway through the…
Michael Jordan over Craig Ehlo. Patrick Kane’s backhander for the hat trick against the Canucks. Caleb Williams’ 4th-and-8 throw to Rome Odunze in the 4th Quarter.
By no means am I saying the Bears are on their way to dynasty runs like Michael Jordan’s Bulls or the Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews era Blackhawks. But if we’re fortunate enough to see Caleb Williams lead the Bears to a Super Bowl at one point, we’re going to look back at that throw as the official stamp of arrival. Jordan an...
The Portland Trail Blazers, perhaps with Jrue Holiday finally in tow, will look to extend their five-game winning streak as they host Jalen Brunson and one of the East’s best teams in the New York Knicks this Sunday. The Knicks Report Having already conquered the Emirates™ NBA Cup – to some, the absolute pinnacle of […]
The Husky Men’s Basketball team welcomes the Buckeyes to Alaska Airlines Arena on Sunday at 3 PM local time. Desire consecutive losses to Indiana and Pudue, the Dawgs enter as 2.5 point favorites. Meanwhile, OSU comes in at 11-4. Recent, they took down Rutgers and Oregon in conference with a loss to invincible Nebraska sandwiched […]
I think the 3 games in 4 nights caught up to them at the end. Their shots were short. 4 free throws for the Celtics is rather telling. Jaylen Brown was very heated about the lack of calls after the game. I can relate to the fans who hate seeing White on the Celtics. I hurt every time I see Marcus Smart on the Lakers. They were quite complementary of the Celtics. It's funny how they trash their own players until they do something good and then it'...
What a night!
On January 10, the Chicago Bulls, the Blackhawks , the Cubs , and the Bears all grabbed a win of their own. The city is riding a wave of euphoria it doesn’t quite know how to handle, but it’s handling it with a lot of smiles and plenty of flexing on social media. I don’t know about you, but the way the Bulls won last night was the real surprise.

BOSTON — Baylor Scheierman only knows one way: to play with an edge. To blow kisses after made baskets. To talk trash. He just hasn’t always had the opportunity to show it. But, on Saturday, with the Celtics hosting the San Antonio Spurs in a primetime matchup between two of the NBA’s top teams, Scheierman […]
Thanks in large part to its goaltending, Chicago picked up two more vital points with a 3-0 win on the road over the Nashville Predators on Saturday night.
After a scoreless first period, the Hawks took the lead for good at the 6:41 mark of the second, when Connor Bedard evaded some Nashville defenders and found Tyler Bertuzzi in his usual spot for a tap-in goal:

If the previous two embarrassing blowout losses were too difficult for the Miami Heat, they need to brace themselves for their most difficult matchup they could face this season versus the reigning NBA champion OKC Thunder on the second leg of a road back-to-back. It will be the final game of the Heat’s winless road […]

Through 36 games, the Lakers’ 13 losses continue to be discussed more than their 23 wins. The discourse, while at times unfair given their record and the often ignored context of how shorthanded they have been, is also the medicine the team must swallow for the beatdowns they have endured. This is because when the […]
Could there be a better opportunity for the Oilers to finally lock down their first three-game win streak of the season than on a night when the rival Los Angeles Kings were in town? I didn’t think so. If Edmonton couldn’t get fired up for their first matchup of the season against a tired Kings…
Unrivaled’s non-stop action continues on Sunday with an early-season undefeated clash between the clubs led by Unrivaled’s GOAT and Baby GOAT. What else is their to say about Chelsea Gray? No lead against Rose is safe due to the clutch stylings of the Point Gawd. Gray scored nine points in the fourth quarter against Vinyl […]
#1 – Can’t get to the line if you don’t attack the rim Let’s get the referee topic out of the way before we dig in. The Celtics’ low number of free throws last night, and overall this season, isn’t caused by a conspiracy against Boston. Free-throw volume is highly correlated with rim pressure. However, […]
BOSTON — San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama was a 7-foot-4 problem the Boston Celtics couldn’t solve, no matter the adjustment. “He’s really good at what he does,” Derrick White admitted after Boston’s 100-95 loss. “Just the way he protects the paint and still can get out to the corner is special. You have to […]
There was plenty of buzz last night about former Falcons coach Matt LaFleur potentially losing his job after his Green Bay Packers collapsed against the Chicago Bears, and whether the Falcons would scoop him up if that happened. While that collapse was in progress, however, the Falcons were announcing they had interviewed another former coach. […]
In Today’s Links: seller’s remorse via the Ravens?; why Klint Kubiak looks attractive to teams that need a new HC, Stacy Rost presumes our Seattle Seahawks are still somewhat underrated, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and some of our boys have made the 2025 All-Pro team, and that is to be celebrated; other deserving ‘Hawks that did not […]
No fireworks this time. The Brooklyn Nets took on a resurgent Los Angeles Clippers team at Barclays Center on Friday night. It was over early and the Clippers cruised to an easy 121-105 win. The opponent tonight is looking to figure things out. The Memphis Grizzlies had 21-point second half lead and 14-point fourth quarter […]
