Coming off a huge shootout victory in Toronto, the Flyers have just one game remaining before the NHL’s trade deadline. They currently sit sixth in the Metropolitan Division and are just four points back of the Boston Bruins for the final wild card spot. On the surface, that feels significant. But it sounds closer than they really are, and this recent run should not make them shy away from focusing on the long-term picture.

*Here’s hoping the Flyers front office is smart enough to know that being kinda close to a wild card spot and kinda playing well isn’t a good reason to not sell some pieces this week. Here’s hoping. That said, solid win over the Leafs last night in the shootout. RECAP !
*It’s not the big shiny deadline move folks are looking forward to, but the Flyers got themselves a New Guy and lucky for you we have an in-house subject matter expert to tell you all about him. [ BSH ]

After bottoming out last season with the 3rd worst record in the Eastern Conference, the Philadelphia 76ers have been a fun but flawed team this year, in large part due to yet another impressive leap from lead guard Tyrese Maxey as well as the promising potential of rookie shooting guard VJ Edgecombe. As for their […]
Craig Berube addressed the media after his team’s 3-2 shootout loss to the Philadelphia Flyers, which dropped the Maple Leafs’ record to 27-24-10. On the team’s performance: Good battle by our group tonight. Really good second period. We had a lot of opportunities. We didn’t capitalize on them, but I thought our game was good […]

After picking up a big win over the Bruins on Saturday, the Flyers again hit the road for a quick trip up north to face off against the Maple Leafs. Coming in to face another team also well — if still a little distantly — in the fight to remain in the hunt for a playoff spot, this wasn’t going to be an easy matchup for the Flyers, but despite the depleted lineup they had to deal with in this one, they were able to gut this one out and come away with the win in the shootout, and extend their wi...

The Philadelphia Eagles re-signed Graham! No, not Brandon Graham. BG has said he’s willing to play for the Birds in 2026, however, if Howie Roseman will have him. The Eagles are instead re-signing defensive lineman Ta’Quon Graham, according to an official team announcement. Graham originally signed to Philly’s practice squad during the 2025 NFL season. […]
It feels more likely than ever that the Philadelphia Flyers are going to be trading veteran defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen. The stars are aligning before the March 6 trade deadline for this team to cash in on the hulking rearguard and move on while also opening up a roster spot for a younger player. A classic rebuilding move.
But, unfortunately to make a trade you also need a second team to agree to it, and the Flyers just lost one potential option that was reportedly interested in Ristola...
The Philadelphia Flyers are wallowing down in the mushy middle of the standings and this is the week where we care less about the games and just want to see transactions pop up before Friday’s trade deadline. Naturally, they’re visiting the Maple Leafs in Toronto so a whole lot of eyes will be on them.

Keep an eye on the Buffalo Sabres before Friday's trade deadline, as they'll be buying this season. The Sabres have finally turned the corner and appear headed for the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and management is going to make a couple of upgrades to try and give the team the boost they need to make some noise. One team to watch - Philadelphia Flyers, and specifically, defenceman Rasmus Ristolainen. The Sabres want to add to the right side of their blueline, and a reunion with Ristolainen appears t...

With just over a week until the start of free agency, and after the NFL Combine helped give teams some clarity on their roster building approach, Monday has been busy. There’s still four days to go before the Philadelphia Flyers get their hands dirty in NHL trade deadline activity, and between now and then there will be plenty of speculation as to who will be going where, who will be heading back in return, and what teams will be all in for some of the bigger names available.
There’s not enough bandwidth to discuss who might and who might not be traded in the coming days, but we do know there have been some busier trade deadlines for the Flyers than oth...

Eagles GM Howie Roseman set expectations low for splashy free agency moves this offseason, but the team is still keeping their options open, including keeping an eye on Maxx Crosby’s situation in Las Vegas, according to Albert Breer. ”We should know soon enough which path the Raiders are taking, with teams like Dallas, Chicago, Baltimore, […]
The Boston Bruins refuse to quit one name as the deadline gets closer: Owen Tippett. According to Daily Faceoff’s Anthony Di Marco , Boston has checked in on the Philadelphia Flyers winger multiple times this season, and while Philadelphia is not trying to move him, they are at least willing to listen if the offer hits a serious level. Anthony Di Marco: One name the Bruins have checked in on several times this season is winger Owen Tippett; The Flyers aren’t looking to move [him] by any ...
Always good to beat the Sixers. I love how much they envy Celtics organization, front office and coach. Them trading for the #1 pick and taking Fultz instead of Tatum pretty much says it all. For all those years they tanked in the process, they don't have much to show for it. It cracked me up when they called Scheierman balding because he probably has the most hair on the team. And every fan base makes a big deal out of playing 4 white players. ...
