Facing a three-win Cleveland Browns team might not score many “style points,” but in the end, the Chicago Bears’ 31-3 blowout victory was more than enough to get them to 10 wins and keep them right in the mix for the NFC North crown. Although I’m not sure I would consider this a “complete” performance […]
The news isn’t great, but it certainly could’ve been worse, too.
After practice on Monday, Blackhawks coach Jeff Blashill provided an injury update on Connor Bedard, who suffered an apparent injury to his right shoulder while taking a faceoff in the closing seconds of Friday’s game against the St. Louis Blues. According to Blashill, Bedard is not expected back for this calendar year and will be re-evaluated when the calendar flips to 2026.
Connor Bedard will be reevaluated after the ...
The Nashville Predators are on a clear path to rebuilding and tearing it all down, much like the Chicago Blackhawks did before getting lucky with Connor Bedard and what the San Jose Sharks did, trading or moving on from all of their old core and old regime. The Predators need this. Roman Josi, Filip Forsberg, and Juuse Saros are three great pieces to have, but the team hasn't been built well around them and they missed their shot at a Stanley Cup because the door slammed shut last offseason af...
A 10-win season is nice, but the Chicago Bears have bigger fish to fry.
With just three games left, the Bears are on the cusp of making the playoffs for the first time since 2020. What needs to happen for them to clinch a playoff spot as soon as this week? Well, it is actually quite simple:
The Bears can clinch their spot in the postseason in Week 16 if they beat the Packers and the Lions lose to the Steelers. — Courtney Cronin (@CourtneyRCronin) December 15, 2025

The Blackhawks announced some roster moves before practice on Monday morning in Chicago.
Connor Bedard (upper body) was placed on injured reserve retroactive to Dec. 12.
Defenseman Ethan Del Mastro was recalled from Rockford.
Goaltender Laurent Brossoit was recalled from Rockford.
After practice, Blackhawks head coach Jeff Blashill said Bedard “will be reevaluated after the New Year.” The Blackhawks have seven games between now and the end of the calendar year, an...
Despite what may feel like a repetitive pattern when it comes to the Chicago Bulls, here is one thing that is definitely new around these parts … Me! My name is Joshua Miranda, and I am one of the two new staff writers covering the Bulls for Bleacher Nation.
You can read more about me and my professional history in my author bio (or just check in right here on the site every day). I hope we’re going to be good friends.
Now that we’ve exchanged some pleasantries, let’s talk Bulls bask...
Good morning and Happy Monday. Brett is still out sick, so you’ve got me for your Cubs coverage today. If you haven’t yet made your way to my META post , please do! We’ve got two new Bulls writers to welcome and some new features being rolled out on the Bears category page!
Separately, I am extremely sad to hear of Rob Reiner’s tragic death this weekend. His run as a director from 1984-1992 is legendary (This is Spinal Tap, Stand By Me, The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, Misery, A ...
Zach Tom, Christian Watson, and Evan Williams are three of the Green Bay Packers’ most important players. All three of them left Sunday’s loss to the Denver Broncos with injuries, and none returned to the game. Then, late in the third quarter, Micah Parsons crumpled to the turf with an apparent ACL tear in his […]
The night-and-day difference in waking up on a Bears Victory Monday and a Monday that isn’t followed by a Bears win is jarring. I care not that the thorough victory came at the expense of the Browns. The Packers didn’t beat the Browns this year, so I don’t want to hear a peep from any cheesedoodles about “oh, it was just the Browns.” Cram it, nerds. I have no time for your nonsense. The Bears beat a bad Browns team in a way that good teams are supposed to beat bad ones.
I spent the week...

As you know, I have posted a series of articles here on players who could be free agent or trade targets for the Cubs this offseason. As a refresher, here are links to all those articles (except for two players who have already signed elsewhere). Dec. 5: Luis Severino (trade) Dec. 4: Edward Cabrera (trade) […]
The Chicago Bears knocked off the Cleveland Browns in a must-have game to maintain their spot in the NFC playoff picture, and they did it in dominating fashion, 31 to 3. The Bears never trailed, and while it was closer in the first half for some fans, this one was never really in doubt. The […]
Head coach Jeff Blashill has spoken about Frank Nazar playing well and staying committed to the process… but the Blackhawks need Nazar to find the back of the net again.
Since Nazar returned from his injury on Nov. 15, he is tied with Ryan Greene for third among Blackhawks forwards in shot attempts at 5-on-5 (43) and ranks fifth o the roster in individual scoring chances (23). He has an individual expected goals of 1.88, which ranks sixth on the Blackhawks at even strength. Nazar’s six 5-...
According to a recent report by Ken Rosenthal, the Phillies are back interested in acquiring Luis Robert, Jr. from the White Sox. This makes some sense as the team continues to look for ways to upgrade their outfield. Center field is still probably the most glaring weakness the team has, probably a bit less son […]
The Cleveland Browns had a tough showing against the Chicago Bears with a 31-3 loss, bringing the Browns to 3-11 on the season. Some of the same issues that Cleveland has been dealing with all season showed up in this loss, but there were a few key areas that contributed greatly to their defeat. Turnovers […]
The Chicago White Sox keep combing the waiver wire and picking through the free agent scrap heap to fill out next season’s roster — and there’s no end in sight. The biggest free agent signing so far has been starting pitcher Anthony Kay. He had to go to Japan any hope of reviving a big-league […]
1960 White Sox owner Bill Veeck made up for some of his bad deals after the 1959 season by pilfering pitchers Juan Pizarro and Cal McLish from the Reds for infielder Gene Freese. Manager Al Lopez and pitching coach Ray Berres had their eyes on Pizarro for a few years, but Milwaukee refused to deal him to the Sox. Veeck craftily got his friend Bill DeWitt of Cincinnati to […]
On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, Bleed Cubbie Blue is pleased to present a Cubs-centric look at baseball’s colorful past. Here’s a handy Cubs timeline, to help you follow the various narrative paths. “Maybe I called it wrong, but it’s official.” — Tom Connolly, HoF Umpire. Welcome to the Morning Commute For the past few weeks, Chicago Bears’ fans have been crying out to see more from Luther Burden III. The rookie receiver and former Mizzou star has been mostly kept on a tight leash by Chicago coach Ben Johnson, though not without letting spurts of action. However, Burden’s opportunity to […]

There are some early Week 16 odds available from our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook, and they have the Chicago Bears as a 2.5-point underdog over the Green Bay Packers for their big divisional showdown on Saturday night, December 20, at Soldier Field. FanDuel has the point total over/under at 46.5, with the moneyline for the […]
Even with the Bears rivalry with the Packers being what it is, I hate seeing injuries like the one star pass rusher Micah Parson appears to have suffered in Green Bay’s game against the Denver Broncos.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter has a report on what is believed to be an ACL tear for Micah Parsons:
The initial belief is that Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons suffered a torn ACL today, as @ProFootballTalk reported. There will be further testing to see if that is the case. pic.twitter.com/YmL...
The Bulls finally did it! After snapping their losing streak on Friday, can they build on it tonight?

Blues singer Robert Johnson famously sang about his “Sweet Home Chicago,” but it would be understandable if the Cleveland Browns do not share that feeling. On Sunday against the Chicago Bears, the Browns continued their 56-year run of futility in the Windy City by dropping a 31-3 decision that was never, for even a moment, […]
Trap game. Must-win game. Rome Odunze ruled out just before kickoff game. Myles Garrett’s potential NFL sack record game. Freezing-cold home game against a 3-10 Browns team led by Shedeur Sanders. Whatever. None of it mattered. With a little help from two perfectly timed interceptions, the Chicago Bears dominated the Cleveland Browns today at Soldier Field. And after weeks of nail-biting, last-minute decisions, that win was a thing of (relaxing) beauty.
We deserved that.
FINAL: Chica...
