The Chicago Blackhawks are in an interesting position right now. The wake up on Monday morning only five points out of a wild card spot in the Western Conference — close enough that there will be potentially important games down the stretch.
But, at the same time, the Blackhawks are also beginning their ascent out of their scorched earth rebuild. Young players are beginning to take over their lineup and lead the team. They’re relying heavily on young players to run the power play and kill...
And just like that, the Super Bowl matchup is set, and we’re down to just one more football game this season.
On Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Los Angeles Rams in a thriller to win the NFC, and the New England Patriots took down the Denver Broncos

Marshawn Lynch this, Malcom Butler that — the real story of the Seahawks-Patriots at Super Bowl LX is which Colorado Buffaloes star will win a ring. No one likes to see the Patriots in the Super Bowl, especially when they got there by beating the Denver Broncos. But the silver lining to the snow-covered was […]
For about 12 minutes, it looked like the San Antonio Spurs were going to pull off a big comeback against the New Orleans Pelicans. After going down 20 points in the third quarter, the Spurs came all the way back to take a 5-point lead with 5 minutes to go in the game. San Antonio […]
How was your weekend, Chicago?
Cold, snowy weather mixed with a surprisingly lively—and happy—Chicago Bulls weekend. It’s kind of wild to think that the Bulls still hold the longest active winning streak in the East, are sitting above .500, and we just watched Derrick Rose get his jersey retired. There haven’t been many stretches like this lately as a Bulls fan, so we’ll take it, and hope to keep it rolling tonight.
Let’s talk Bulls basketball.

Let’s talk about Connor Bedard , shall we? It seems like that’s becoming an increasingly hot topic around the Blackhawks in recent days. Bedard has one goal (into an empty net) since he came back from his shoulder injury. He isn’t taking faceoffs. And his named found its way into the headlines for both postgames from Scott Powers ( The Athletic ) and Ben Pope ( Chicago Sun-Times ).
After the game, head coach Jeff Blashill talked about Bedard trying to find his mojo still after the injury,...
Date 1/26 || Time 7:00 || Venue Cameron Indoor Stadium || Video ESPN Duke and Louisville are scheduled to play Monday night but that’s not guaranteed given the weather in the Triangle and Louisville, among other locales. Nashville: we feel for you! Update – the game is definitely on. As of this writing, there is […]
Early indications was that this game was going to be a knockdown, drag-out fight. That was a point of stress for us Seattle Seahawks fans, as the last three weeks had softened us up a bit. Eight long days from an absolutely dominant victory over the San Francisco 49ers gave a few of us the […]
The NFL is a copycat league, and as the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks are the only two remaining teams left in the playoffs, you can already see people trying to figure out how to emulate their success. I always find this to be a particularly amusing game to play, because the difference between […]

The Los Angeles Rams fell just short of the Super Bowl following a 31-27 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship. Los Angeles played much better than they did in Chicago, and Matthew Stafford put together an MVP-like performance, yet it just wasn’t meant to be this season. Here is the good, the […]
The Sixers narrowly lost at home to the Knicks, 112–109, Saturday. The team left shortly after the game to avoid the massive snowstorm sweeping across much of the East. Now they’ll look to bounce back against the Charlotte Hornets, a team that has seen its share of highs and lows this season. The Sixers faced […]
Good morning, Fear the Wall. The great American winter storm has passed and for the first time ever, my job actually told me to work from home. Neat. Dortmund snagged a win in the prime time slot this past Saturday, convincingly overcoming Union Berlin for a third successive league victory, and a bounce back from […]
Indiana Football Year 3 starts! Hoosiers host Purdue tomorrow! Pacers in ATL this afternoon!
The Cleveland Cavaliers are playing their second straight game against the Orlando Magic. They won their previous game in Orlando 119-105. Repeating success Beating the same team twice in a row isn’t easy. There’s added motivation for the other team to get their revenge, and what worked in the first matchup isn’t guaranteed to work […]

Tobias Björnfot lit the lamp twice and Mackie Samoskevich also ended a long scoring drought to help the Florida Panthers finish a perfect three-game road trip with a 5-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center.
After a scoreless first period, Björnfot registered his first goal since 2021 by beating former Panther Spencer Knight for a wrap-around goal after Cole Schwindt won an offensive zone draw back to him at the left point with 4:27 left in the second. It was his first-ever po...
The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks have booked their tickets to the Super Bowl. The Detroit Lions, meanwhile, are left wondering what it would take to be in their shoes. After a 9-8 season in which the Lions barely sniffed the playoff picture, Detroit has a lot to envy from these two Super Bowl […]
The clock is counting down! We are now officially 10 days away from the Feb. 5 trade deadline. The only notable deal thus far is Trae Young to the Washington Wizards in a three-player package. But who are names the Miami Heat should consider?! Disclaimer: I’m dumber than practically every front office executive in the […]

There was a reason that most everyone in the NBA Draft sphere was glowing about this upcoming class, and it was on full display over the course of this week. For the first time in NCAA Basketball history, three true freshmen scored 40 or more points on the same day. It’s a good year to […]
On Sunday night, the Spurs hosted the New Orleans Pelicans. Before the game, interim head coach James Borrego spoke with the media. If his name sounds familiar it is because he served as assistant coach to Gregg Popovich twice. The first time was from 2003-2010 where he started as assistant video coordinator before working his […]
