With such dramatic roster turnover, no team has a wider range of outcomes this year.
Philippe Myers is coming off a very up-and-down 2025-26 season with the Toronto Maple Leafs. The lanky right-handed defenceman chipped in with just two assists in 39 games last season with the Leafs, and couldn’t take advantage of added playing time with Chris Tanev sidelined for most of the year. Heading into the 2026-27 season,…
The Toronto Raptors have had a history of success with European centres: Jonas Valanciunas, Marc Gasol, and now, Jakob Poeltl. But, can the Austrian big man reach the same heights as those that came before him, or will his inability to stay on the floor condemn the Raptors to another season of mediocrity? Big man […]
For the last few months, this space has featured the Rays heavily, given there was real intrigue about whether they or the Yankees would end up with the AL East title. Tampa slipped ahead of the Yankees in the division early in the season, but they never got too far afield, and as the season […]
Happy Tuesday, Camden Chatters! Last night, we got a reprieve from the misery that has been Orioles baseball lately. And we got it mostly thanks to Pete Alonso (who else). Alonso hit his 39th and 40th home runs of the season last night, powering the Orioles to a 4-3 victory over the Blue Jays. He’s […]
This summer saw a lot of trade rumours surrounding the longest-tenured player on the Toronto Maple Leafs‘ active roster in Morgan Rielly. It seemed to be inevitable after he came off one of the worst statistical seasons of his career, with 36 points (11 goals and 25 assists) in 78 games and the Leafs collapsing…
BALTIMORE—While Pete Alonso hoped the Orioles would have had a much better record, it’s hard to imagine a more personally satisfying one for him. After signing a five-year, $155 million contract, Alonso, who started slowly and had just four home runs through April, hit two on Monday night, pushing him to 40, and gave the […]

The Toronto Raptors have converted rookie guard Jaden Bradley from a two-way contract to a four-year, $9.3 million NBA deal, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The first year of Bradley’s contract is guaranteed. Toronto selected Bradley with the 50th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft after his junior season at Arizona. Bradley was […]

The Toronto Maple Leafs reportedly considered trading Morgan Rielly this summer. The veteran defenseman has lost a step on the ice. He is not exactly a liability, as he remains an effective puck mover. But he is clearly not the player he used to be. Rielly did not move this summer. He remains with the […]

Michael Lorenzen cleared waivers after being outrighted by the Blue Jays, according to the MLB.com transaction log. The veteran righty will get an early start on the offseason after electing free agency. Lorenzen had a brief stint in Toronto, making six appearances in low-leverage relief after signing in late August. He allowed at least one […]
The Toronto Blue Jays could be eliminated from the playoff race as early as Tuesday. That fate hangs over the Blue Jays after they lost 4-3 to the Baltimore Orioles on Monday. The loss dropped the Blue Jays 3.5 games behind the Chicago White Sox for the third wild-card spot in the American League, with five games to go. The Blue Jays will be eliminated on Tuesday with a loss to the Orioles, a White Sox win over the Royals and a Guardians win over the Red Sox. The Blue Jays were the only team i...
After spending the tail end of the 2025-26 season with the Brooklyn Nets, shooting guard Malachi Smith now finds himself in the country of Canada with the Toronto Raptors. The 26-year-old had his non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 training camp contract altered into a two-way deal, according to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto. Smith will split his time between the big […]
The Baltimore Orioles are most likely going to miss the 2026 MLB postseason despite their 4-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday, but that is through no fault of Pete Alonso’s. Alonso, whom the Orioles signed to a five-year, $155 million contract this past offseason, has been as productive as ever in his […]

The Raptors have upgraded two-way guard Jaden Bradley to a standard contract, but how does he really fit on the roster?
After failing to score in their previous two games, the Orioles hardly looked like a team capable of overcoming an early three-run deficit. That’s why they play the games. Shane Baz allowed three runs in the top of the first, but Baltimore held Toronto off the scoreboard for the final eight frames. Pete Alonso launched […]
Lakers risk starter troubles with Sandro Mamukelashvili, while the Raptors saw that concern early.
RJ Barrett had a career-best playoff performance for the Toronto Raptors, but the team was unable to achieve the same level of success as they were eliminated in the first round by the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Raptors pushed the Cavaliers to the limit despite making their first playoff appearance since 2022. Barrett last played in [...]
One of the Toronto Blue Jays’ brightest young players left with an injury on Monday. Centrefielder Brett Bateman suffered an injury to his left leg while diving to make a catch in the second inning against the Baltimore Orioles. Bateman’s left leg appeared to dig into the dirt as he dove for the ball and he immediately collapsed to the field in pain. He was able to walk off the field under his own power but with a visible limp. Manager John Schneider helped Bateman walk down the dugout stairs....
Kawhi Leonard is back with the Toronto Raptors after the deal with the Los Angeles Clippers finally happened. Before he returned to Toronto, however, other NBA teams wanted to trade for Leonard. According to previous reports, the Detroit Pistons and the Minnesota Timberwolves were interested in the two-time NBA champion. On Sunday, league insider Marc [...]
If the Knicks can’t land Yves Missi, it’s a positive for the Raptors, even though he remains an intriguing option as they look to address frontcourt challenges.
BALTIMORE — Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was out of the lineup Monday night as the Blue Jays opened their series against the Orioles, clinging to their fading postseason chances. Guerrero was removed from Sunday’s finale against the Rangers with left lower back tightness, something that flared up when he stretched to make a play at first base a couple of days prior. It hadn’t improved much by the time the Blue Jays got to Baltimore. Carlos Delgado Short-Sleeved Retro Windbreaker Giveaway is Sept. 25!...

BALTIMORE — In a season short on it, let’s start with the good news. Dylan Cease’s MRI revealed only inflammation in his right shoulder, nothing structural and nothing more. Cease still won’t be making his scheduled start this week in Baltimore and he may not pitch again in 2026, but the Blue Jays don’t expect this to be something that spills into ‘27. Cease wouldn’t describe it as “painful,” but he detailed the discomfort he’s been pitching through. “It’s definitely a bit heavy and achy, just...
