It was a pretty good week for the Tampa Bay Lightning as they took seven out of eight points on their trip out west. Andrei Vasilevskiy picked up three wins, but the engine behind the wins was Nikita Kucherov. The winger put up 6 goals and 7 assists with two of those tallies counting as game-winners. The thirteen points moved him past Connor McDavid in the Art Ross race and garnered him the First Star of the Week Award from the NHL.
The Predators Filip Forsberg, 4 goals, 5 assists, and Mo...

It’s never a dull moment in Oil Country with the Edmonton Oilers. After Saturday night’s loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, the spotlight was on Connor McDavid, praising how well-coached the Lightning are, subtly turning attention toward his own coach — this while Leon Draisaitl is in Germany receiving treatment, with Oilers fans crossing their…
Welcome back to the annual DRaysBay Community Prospect List, a treasured tradition at the site where our community diligently votes for the top prospects in the Rays system. This off-season saw a dramatic overhaul of the Rays system, and accordingly the DRaysBay list has also shifted dramatically year over year. Only one prospect graduated last […]
The Tampa Bay Lightning started their four-game road trip four points behind the Buffalo Sabres and a two-point lead on the Montreal Canadiens. Despite picking up seven out of eight points they are still four points behind the Sabres, but they did manage to stretch their lead over third-place Montreal to five points. They almost made it a perfect eight points on the road trip, but Ryan Strome’s shot in overtime trickled through Jonas Johansson to give the Calgary Flames a 4-3 win.

That was a fun way to wrap spring training. The Blue Jays smoked Tampa Bay, 14-1, with most of the regulars getting in on the action. The highlights: We also got some news. Angel Bastardo and Yariel Rodriguez have been told that they didn’t make the opening day roster. Rodriguez had a good World Baseball […]
Welcome back to another edition of Ask Dubey! It’s been another eventful week for the Edmonton Oilers, beating the Nashville Predators and San Jose Sharks, and losing to the Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning. Mixed into it all, they lost Leon Draisaitl to injury, and Connor Ingram was given the keys to the crease….
Connor McDavid's frustration, after the Edmonton Oilers were outclassed by the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night, was clearly evident. He insinuated that their second-place standing in the weak Pacific Division is nothing to be proud of. "It's a bit of a pillow fight right now." Connor McDavid shares his honest thoughts on the Pacific Division race pic.twitter.com/ZtnbGI4pEH — Sportsnet (@Sportsnet) March 22, 2026 “We are fortunate to play in this division. The Jays last spring game. Then, Opening Day is March 27th. And I’ll be on my way to Japan by the time the game is over. I’m putting this together early so I don’t have the lineups but it should be Nick Martinez and Dylan Cease starting. And we’ll likely have a better idea of […]

It was the Nikita Kucherov show in Edmonton on Saturday night, as the Russian star led the Lightning to a 5-2 win over the Oilers with two goals and two assists. Kucherov leapfrogged Connor McDavid into the league lead in scoring with the four-point performance. He now sits two points clear of Edmonton’s captain in…
In a game between the NHL’s two top scorers, it was Nikita Kucherov emerging on top as he outdueled Connor McDavid in the Lightning’s 5-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers. Kucherov scored twice, including his first career short-handed goal, and added two assists while McDavid had Edmonton’s first goal of the game. With the four points, Kucherov moved ahead of McDavid in the scoring race.

For the second consecutive game, the Edmonton Oilers were outclassed by a team based in Florida. After falling 4-0 on Thursday to the Florida Panthers, the Oilers fell 5-2 to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday in what was a chippy game. Let’s take a look at what happened in this one. In the final…
Noise about the Edmonton Oilers’ Thursday loss to the Florida Panthers has been loud. It was nothing short of a pitiful performance, as the Oilers were outworked in every element by a team a dozen points out of a playoff spot, never mind the fact that Florida beat the Oilers in two straight Stanley Cup…
For this week’s Reacts poll, we asked who y’all expected to be the Rays closer in 2026, and the majority said… NOBODY! Very few seemed to agree with my assessment that Baker is in line for the starring role this season, but I’m excited to see what the Rays pitching lab might unlock there. As […]

The Edmonton Oilers lost no ground amongst their closest divisional rivals after a disappointing 4-0 shutout loss to the Florida Panthers — that’s the good news. Is it on TV? Yup! First pitch is on NESN at 1:05 PM. What’s the lineup? Why should we watch? Do you need another reason to watch other than the return of Roman Anthony? We’ve got Willson Contreras in there, too, whom we haven’t seen much of this spring. And while Blake Wehunt isn’t much […]
