After some speculation that the Flyers could trade back a few spots in order to accrue some more picks later on in the draft, they ended up doing just that, sending their 21st overall selection to the San Jose Sharks for the 27th overall selection, the 62nd overall selection, and the 120th overall selection.

Was there ever any doubt? Soothing the souls of San Jose Sharks fans everywhere, Mike Grier and company have selected Ivar Stenberg as the second overall pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. A forward, Stenberg played in the Swedish Hockey League last season, an 18-year-old playing against a bunch of men and still putting up points. He managed to have 33 points in 43 games and took home the Rookie of the Year trophy at the end of the season.
