Brooklyn Nets fall in home opener to Cleveland Cavaliers

Kenny Atkinson praised the Brooklyn Nets for how much trouble they gave his team last year before tipoff this evening. With Cleveland eyeing a Larry O’Brien and the Nets eyeing ping pong balls, they gave Cleveland more than any game preview expected, especially in November, when Brooklyn nearly ended their perfect start to the season. […]

LIVE NBA DISCUSSION: Cleveland Cavaliers at Brooklyn Nets, 7:30 PM ET

Hey pro-tankers: rejoice. The first game of the 2025-26 season would’ve been one of the ugliest – if not the ugliest – out of all the games last season. They simply didn’t look engaged as a collective unit, particularly on the defensive end. On the bright said, Egor Demin shot 4-of-6 from three. So, at […]

The Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Brooklyn Nets tonight at 7:30 pm EST. Let’s look at FanDuel’s betting lines for the game. Cavs Moneyline (-700) It’s hard to argue with this one. The Cavs are expected to lead the Eastern Conference in wins while the Nets… are likely to finish on the other end of […]

Brooklyn Nets vs. Cleveland Cavaliers preview: Home opener!

If you were like me yesterday in watching the game against the Hornets, you became well aware of two things. First, Brooklyn (as of now) can’t play a lick of defense, and second, that this is going to be a long season in which your patience will be tested, perhaps every game. En route to […]

Cleveland Cavaliers: Evan Mobley is trusting the process

It’s a new season for the Cleveland Cavaliers. But does that mean we’ll be seeing a brand new Evan Mobley, too? Mobley came out guns blazing in his season opener. He attempted 13 of his 18 field goals in the first half, only slowing down once Donovan Mitchell started scoring in bunches during the third […]

Game Thread: Knicks vs. Cavaliers, Oct. 22, 2025

Opening night at MSG features two Eastern contenders as the revamped Knicks debut Mike Brown’s uptempo system against the 64-win Cavaliers. Both sides are short-handed, but New York will be especially challenged without Hart, Robinson, and the ‘questionable’ Towns. Tip off is at 7 p.m. EST on ESPN and MSG. This is your game thread. […]

Stop moving the goalposts and just enjoy the Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a long and arduous journey since LeBron James left for the second time back in 2018. There have been players who have come and gone, the city has seen many different eras of teambuilding, and a youth movement that catapulted the Cavaliers into a new orbit of contention. It feels […]

Only Dean Wade can change his narrative

There was a time when Dean Wade was viewed as one of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ most important role players. Over the last two seasons, the Cavs are 83-30 in the games that Wade plays in. He is an analytics darling and is one of the team’s best defensive players.  Wade also fits well with the […]

Cleveland Cavaliers at New York Knicks: Betting props and predictions

The NBA is back. Let’s take a look at FanDuel’s betting lines for the Cleveland Cavaliers’ season opener against the New York Knicks. Cavs Moneyline (+125) The Cavs begin the season as underdogs on the road. I can’t say I blame FanDuel. Cleveland will be without multiple starters and the Knicks are just as hungry […]

3 Cavaliers who need to start the season strong

The Cleveland Cavaliers hit the ground sprinting last year as they began the season 15-0. Repeating that type of success might be difficult this time, as the Cavs are already down two of their most important players entering the 2025-26 season. Darius Garland has no clear timeline for return as he recovers from a toe […]

Who are the leading candidates for the New York Liberty, Dallas Wings, Seattle Storm and Toronto Tempo head coach vacancies?

One down, four to go. (Or, four to go for now, as we can never count out the possibility of late-breaking, oddly-timed WNBA decisions.) On Friday, the Portland Fire officially announced Alex Sarama as their head coach, tapping the player development guru currently on the staff of the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers. The hire, which initially […]

Comments from the Other Side - Cavaliers 10/12/25

I was amazing to me to see how few people were posting on the Cavs game threads.  Most of the forums that were very active when LeBron was back with the team are ghost towns without any posts for a couple of years.  Others have game threads but very few posters.  Very sad.  So, not a lot of comments today.  The Celtics looked good with the caveat that the Cavs starters didn't play.  I really like Minott, Boucher and Garza.  Simons can score and I don't ...
