As it turns out, scoring three goals in less than a minute is a winning strategy! The Bruins scored three goals in a 52-second span of the first period, added another in the second, then held off a late Vegas charge to earn a 4-3 win at TD Garden. The first two goals of the […]
Before the season began, everyone had a different opinion about how the Celtics would fare. Some people naively thought they would plummet to the bottom of the East and tank for hometown kid AJ Dybantsa. Others thought they would hang around and perhaps make a surge if, and only if, Jayson Tatum returned. Most thought […]
For the first time since 2018, the New England Patriots are on to the AFC Championship Game. After a win over a top ranked Texans defense, Drake Maye and Co. will have another tough task against Denver’s unit while New England’s defense will look to keep their hot streak going against Jarrett Stidham. With that, […]
Jayson Tatum’s long morning workout in Detroit and the competitiveness that followed that night confirmed dreams that the Celtics could contend this season. Jaylen Brown looked like the best player on the floor early, Boston won the offensive rebounding battle again over one of the league’s most physically imposing teams and Brown barely missed a […]
Unless it specifically plans to prepare for Denver’s victory formation, the New England Patriots defense will not encounter much tape of the opposing quarterback this week. Jarrett Stidham, who will lead the Broncos into this week’s AFC Championship Game, played just four snaps all season and none of them can be classified as particularly revealing. […]
We’re back! Welcome to the five highest-IQ plays of the week! Sure, we love the high-flying dunks and the deep, off-the-dribble step-back threes, but this is a place for the under-the-radar plays that might not get the credit they deserve. The plays that get the basketball sickos and nerds out of their chairs. The plays […]
The New England Patriots better pack an extra layer of clothes for their trip to Denver, because the upcoming AFC Championship Game against the Broncos projects to be a cold one. In fact, if the current forecast turns out accurate it will be their coldest game of the season. According to NFL Weather, the kickoff […]
Earlier this week, MLB Pipeline ranked Red Sox minor league infielder Mikey Romero as one of the top 10 third base prospects in baseball heading into the 2026 season. Romero slotted in at No. 5 on MLB Pipeline’s list behind the Brewers’ Andrew Fischer, the Mets’ Jacob Reimer, the Tigers’ Hao-Yu Lee, and the Athletics’ … Continue reading "Red Sox’ Mikey Romero ranked No. 5 third base prospect in baseball by MLB Pipeline"

The New England Patriots remain focused on the task at hand rather than engaging in any war of words with the Denver Broncos ahead of the AFC Championship Game. It’s not for a lack of opportunity, though. On Wednesday, Broncos head coach Sean Payton told his team’s fans that they are “going to have plenty […]

The New England Patriots ramped up work on the Denver Broncos without Garrett Bradbury. The starting center, who has amassed 1,191 offensive snaps from September into January, did not practice on Thursday due to an illness. Outside linebacker Harold Landry III and inside linebacker Marte Mapu also remained sidelined as the AFC Championship Game closes […]
Thursday night hockey is upon us, folks! After a brief journey through the center of the country, the Bruins are back at the friendly confines of TD Garden tonight to host Bruce Cassidy, Mitch Marner, and a host of other familiar faces. This will be a quick, two-game homestand for the Bruins, who will host […]
The Steelers added another name to their offseason roster Thursday, signing defensive end Jahvaree Ritzie per a team announcement. Ritzie went undrafted in 2025 out of North Carolina. As a Tar Heel, he recorded 40 total tackles and 6.5 sacks in his final collegiate season, along with one incredibly memorable interception: The 6’4, 294-pound defender […]

The New England Patriots remained without Mack Hollins during Wednesday’s preparations for the Denver Broncos. That changed by Thursday, however, as the wide receiver practiced for the first time since being sent to injured reserve in December. His 21-day activation window has officially been opened ahead of the AFC Championship Game at Mile High. Hollins, […]
Tim MacMahon of ESPN published a mid-season report on Cooper Flagg Thursday. It featured thoughts from opposing teams’ personnel and statistics comparing him to great teenagers of years past, like soon-to-be Hall of Famer LeBron James. The reviews were raving. One Western Conference scout said he was “better than advertised”. An East scout called him […]
Twelve months after being reintroduced at Gillette Stadium, Mike Vrabel has been named the 2025 Pro Football Writers of America’s NFL Coach of the Year. The New England Patriots head coach got the call on Thursday amid preparations for the AFC Championship Game. He did so while Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider and Denver […]
In this series, we’re looking at the biggest statistical differences between last season and the current one to understand how Celtics players have evolved while wearing the same jersey. Not every role change comes with more freedom. Sometimes, it comes with tighter margins. Sam Hauser’s season fits that description. Coming into the year, Hauser’s role […]
The New England Patriots will be well represented at this year’s NFL Honors as they feature finalists for six awards in the 2025 Associated Press NFL Awards. Drake Maye is among the finalists for two of those awards: Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year. Maye, who was voted second-team AP All-Pro behind […]
Earlier this week, baseball writers voted Carlos Beltrán into the Baseball Hall of Fame. On his fourth year of the ballot, Beltrán garnered 84.2% of the votes cast, well more than the 75% required to gain induction. He finished his career in 2017 as a member of the World Series champion Houston Astros. Of course, […]

Day 4 of the Chicago Bears offseason. It took all of four days for me to think “the intro part of this should be in bold-face type.” OK, we can dig into Bullets now that we’ve got that out of my system.
ICYMI: Bears Head Coach Ben Johnson is up for the AP Coach of the Year award. The loaded field of finalists includes Mike Macdonald (Seahawks), Mike Vrabel (Patriots), Kyle Shanahan (49ers), and Liam Coen (Jaguars).
If I had to power rank them based solely on this year’s perform...
Not a lot of Pacers fans chatting on the game thread. Always good to beat the teams you are supposed to beat. For the most part the Pacers fans didn't trash their own players or the Celtics, so that was nice. I really hate seeing fans trash all their own players. Sad though that they have to cheer for losses. I'm really glad the Celtics didn't go the tanking route. My favorites are in bold. What are yours? we win this one right?...
