Colorado Avalanche backup goaltender extraordinaire Scott Wedgewood received recognition from the league earlier this week for his stellar play with a 3-0-0 record, .954 save percentage and 1.00 Goals Against Average. He was named third star of the week for his efforts. After weeks of fakeouts, the Quebec Nordiques throwback jerseys are finally here. They […]
I’ve been writing for this site for going on five years now. I have been watching Houston Texans football since they beat Dallas 19-7. I have been watching Houston NFL football since the late 1970s. At no point did it ever feel like work. Last night did. A lot of it was a quick turnaround […]
The Minnesota Wild must upgrade their top-six. Mats Zuccarello is still injured, and they are stuck with slotting both Vladimir Tarasenko and Marcus Johansson in their top six. Both Marco Rossi and Joel Eriksson Ek have to deal with their production plummeting when they’re not playing with Kirill Ka...
Just how dominant has Charlie Cerrato been for Penn State hockey? Penn State’s second line has been college hockey’s most dominant force this season. Hockey moves back into the top five after last weekend’s sweep of LIU. Former Penn State hockey assistant and current Lindenwood head coach Keith Fisher earned an upset win over Denver […]
The addition of Trevor Zegras and breakout of Jamie Drysdale is making the Flyers' power play better than it has been this decade.
Sorry, Matt LaFleur, this week’s game is at least a little bit about Aaron Rodgers. The Packers’ head coach can downplay the fact that the guy who won four MVPs and a Super Bowl with the Packers is now on the opposing sideline, but it doesn’t detract from the significance of the matchup. Rodgers is […]
NBA Opening Night has arrived!
The new NBA season tips off tonight with a pair of games. First, the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder will welcome Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets. Then, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors pay a visit to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers. For tonight’s NBA action, Bleacher Nation Fantasy is providing a Steph Curry bonus pick! In this post, we’ll talk a bit about the offer as well as a few other options for tonight’s action.

There are six teams tied for the best record in the NFC at 5-2 and three of those franchises are in the NFC West. There are only three teams in the AFC who are 5-2 or better and only one team, the Colts, has a better record at 6-1. Is the NFC West as good […]
Brandon Graham is now officially back with the Philadelphia Eagles and the two-time Super Bowl champion talked about how his return from retirement came to be on his podcast “Brandon Graham Unblocked” for PHLY. You can check out the entire hour-long conversation with Bo Wulf but here’s a transcript of his initial answer: I really […]
Even though it is football season, college basketball season is just around the corner with the Buckeyes tipping off on Nov. 3. There were a lot of roster changes for the Buckeyes heading into the 2025-26 season, and over the next couple of months we will be dropping one player preview a week to get […]
Here is a look at how the Las Vegas Raiders’ rookie class fared in a 31-0 loss at the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7. Ashton Jeanty: The No. 6 overall draft pick was on the field for 63 percent of the Raiders’ snaps. This game got out of hand early, so the running game […]
Another Sabres star might be getting restless, and if history’s about to repeat itself, the Rangers might just be in position to write a better ending this time.
It was once again a successful weekend for Oilers prospects playing in North America. Paul Fischer stays hot with five points in four games, and the same can be said for Tommy Lafreniere, who is on a four-game goal-scoring streak. The Michigan Wolverines, featuring Aidan Park and Asher Barnett, are off to a 6-0 start…
Believe it or not, the 2025-26 Carolina basketball season is just around the corner. It feels like it has been quite a while since we were sweating out the Heels making it to the NCAA Tournament, which is likely because of all of the football distractions that took place since then. While the football distractions […]
After blowing a two goal lead with three unanswered goals against on Sunday, the Utica Comets fall to 0-3-1 to start the season. Falling Comets So far my prediction that the Comets would be much improved this season is not looking so great even with the low bar of last place in the North Division […]
Over the course of a series of fall Saturdays every year Sanford Stadium plays host to 93,033 rabid football fans. The city of Athens itself plays host to thousands more, drawn to the attractions and atmosphere of one of America’s premier college towns. But every visitor to the Classic City had to make a first […]
On Monday, NHL Central Scouting released their preliminary watch list for the 2026 NHL Draft.
They rate players as an A, B, C, W or LV, with an “A” grade meaning they’re labeling the player as a first-round prospect for the 2026 NHL Draft. A “B” is a second- or third-round grade, “C” is the fifth or sixth round, “W” is a sixth- or seventh-round grade and “LV” is for limited viewing (usually because of injury).
A couple of the NHL draft writers I cite frequently shared their thoughts ...
Each week, we’ll take a look at what other college football media sites are saying about the Syracuse Orange. Let’s see what they are saying after the Orange’s third-straight loss… Syracuse.Com Football reporter Javon Edmonds drops Syracuse 3 spots to 13th between Florida State and Clemson. Javon has Georgia Tech ranked 1st this week. ESPN In […]
Divine Deablo’s absence was keenly felt on Sunday night, as the defense struggled to stop the run and keep Christian McCaffrey under control through the air. McCaffrey’s monster game wasn’t all on JD Bertrand—not even close—but it seems fair to suggest he wouldn’t have taken over to that degree if not for Deablo exiting early […]
George Kittle had, until Sunday, played the role of spectator as the 49ers have made an impressive start to the 2025 season amid a catalogue of injuries to star players. He made his return in Week 7 to play a key role in a signature win arguably on a par with the Week 5 road […]
Matt LaFleur has come under fire in the last couple of years for some of his decision-making on 4th down. The Shanahan tree guys had always been more conservative on 4th down than I would have thought (given how forward-thinking they are about offensive football), but LaFleur seemed to buck that trend early on, only […]
The actual season that Weston Wilson played is totally fine: bland, average, fungible. He’s a bench player and no more. There is honor in that as teams are always looking for bench bats that can produce. His path was marred by injury, but his actual place on the roster brings up some questions about how […]
Week eight featured the most anticipated game of the year as Boise State hosted UNLV. Could the Rebels get over the hump? Or would the Broncos make it known they are still the kings of the conference? There was also a key game in Logan that was essentially an elimination game for the Mountain West […]
So the World Series matchup is finally set. The mighty Los Angeles Dodgers will be facing off against the pride of Canada, the Toronto Blue Jays. We expected the Dodgers to be here, but that was not the case for the Jays. The Jays won 74 games last year and had longer odds to win […]
