Every week, we gather to discuss the latest news about the Dallas Cowboys and seek our writer’s perspective on each headline. Welcome back to the roundtable. This week we have Sean Martin and David Howman. How would you grade Dak Prescott’s game versus the Chargers? Were the right throws there and just missed, or were windows consistently muddy? […]
The holiday break is upon us. Time to gather round the Christmas tree, sing yuletide carols, and indulge in some kind of belt-altering feast on Dec. 25. Or for others to endure the relatives and in-laws, look at the clock until it ends, and start taking down all Christmas-related items the following day. Wherever you are on the spectrum, the NHL takes a break. So with the Flyers still knocking on the door in terms of becoming a possible playoff team, let’s look at what each Flyers player deser...
Hey, we actually got some nominations in this category! Only three, but that’s okay, as it gives me leeway to throw a couple of additional choices into the mix. It’ll be interesting to see how these go: there are a couple of candidates who would appear to be hot favorites, but as we’ll see, the […]
It doesn’t take a Nobel Prize to be able to deduce that the MLB offseason has the slowest and most brutal pace in all of professional sports. The NBA and NHL have their drafts take place in late June after the conclusion of the postseason, and free agency begins on July 1st. It takes under […]
This season, Rutgers Women’s Swimming and Diving added two male practice swimmers to its staff to help the swimmers prepare to compete against swimmers with physical advantages. This strategy is often used by college Women’s Basketball teams, most notably South Carolina, to simulate competing against bigger, faster, and stronger competition. According to Kevin Perrington-Turner of […]
UNLV’s third straight bowl appearance ended in frustration. The Rebels were able to hold Ohio’s defense pretty well, but a pair of first-half turnovers and an excellent performance from Ohio running back Sieh Bangura handed the Rebels a 17-10 loss on Tuesday night. Offense Christmas didn’t come early for the Rebels. UNLV was efficient in […]
If you want to understand why the Chicago Bears feel different today, why their offense has matured week by week, why the franchise finally looks like it has a long-term identity, you start with the relationship between Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson.
It wasn’t instant chemistry. It wasn’t a fairy-tale pairing from Day 1. It was work — real work — the kind that builds something durable. Williams admits now that during training camp, he genuinely wasn’t sure whether his new head coach even...

The 2025-26 season opened with both urgency and optimism for both of Northwestern’s basketball teams. For the men’s team, Chris Collins put together a completely retooled lineup following the departure of Brooks Barnhizer, welcoming eight new arrivals and bringing back seven returners. On the women’s side, the team is embracing a farewell tour for the […]
The Wisconsin Badgers made another coaching move on Tuesday, hiring Robert Steeples as their new cornerbacks coach. Steeples slides into the role that Paul Haynes had occupied for the past three seasons. Haynes will now move into a new role as the secondary coach, adding another assistant to Wisconsin’s staff. “Bringing Robert Steeples to Wisconsin […]
The 24-year-old from Brooklyn and third-ever New York City FC Homegrown player is reportedly going cross-country to sign as a free agent with LA Galaxy.
The Seattle Kraken moved on from a failed experiment with Mason Marchment pretty quickly, dealing him after just 29 games to the Columbus Blue Jackets just before the Holiday Trade Freeze a few days back. But according to insider David Pagnotta, that's likely just the first domino for the Kraken, in what could be a series of moves. Appearing on the Oilersnation podcast, Pagnotta said that the franchise's all-time leading scorer, Jared McCann, could potentially be next. He's been in play ...

Because the Lions and Vikings have already played this season, this week’s Honolulu Blueprint will look a bit different. Instead of starting from scratch, we will revisit the keys to victory from Week 9, examine […]

We’re 10 days away from the Tatsuya Imai posting expiring, and not really much closer to knowing with much confidence (1) the teams seriously making a real push, or (2) the expected price tag. As we saw two years ago with Shota Imanaga (and recently with Munetaka Murakami), the markets for Japanese stars is notoriously difficult to project, and the rumor mill is far more mum than for domestic free agents. It’s just the way these things always go.
That said, there are some interesting bits...
John Schneider has never won the NFL’s Executive of the Year award. On the strength of 12-3 and a consecutive successful quarterback flip, he has finally landed himself on the short list of favorites. Nearly every NFL team weighed in this week about their thoughts as to who is most likely to win various awards, […]
There has been incredible turnover for the Las Vegas Raiders’ coaching staff in recent years. Patrick Graham, however, has been a constant. Graham has been the Raiders’ defensive coordinator since 2022 when he joined new head coach Josh McDaniels’ staff as a highly-touted hire. Graham was then retained by new head coach Antonio Pierce in […]
The San Francisco 49ers acquired Keion White in late October from the New England Patriots. The Niners sent a sixth-round pick to the Patriots, while San Francisco got a seventh-rounder along with White. That seventh-round pick was conditional, and those conditions have been met, meaning the pick is going back to the Pats. White needed […]
Is there anything better than a Battle of Alberta as the last Oilers game before the Christmas break? Not to me. There’s just something about a home-and-home to bookend the break that makes sense to me, and last night at Rogers Place, the boys took on the Flames for their first meeting since the season…
Caleb Williams will inevitably come up at Christmas dinner.
You know it. I know it. We all know it.
The Bears have 11 wins. They just came off a Saturday win against the Packers that is already being talked about as an all-timer for a franchise that has struggled to beat its arch nemesis in recent years. And with Chicago’s next game being a road battle against the San Francisco 49ers in primetime on Sunday Night Football, someone is going to bring up the Bears quarterback in conversa...
At the beginning of the season, I laid out a preview of my thoughts for the year. You can find them here. Now that we are almost entirely out of non-conference play, I figured I would revisit some of the things that have happened so far. It didn’t take long for the Huskers to begin […]
