Over the course of the season, both online and while watching a play unfold, I continually saw how Big Ten officiating crews don’t call holding. This made me curious to see if the data supports that hypothesis and whether there are other judgment call penalties that certain conferences don’t call or call at a higher […]

When the Blackhawks selected forward Nathan Behm in the third round (No. 66 overall) in the 2025 NHL Draft, I was intrigued. He was a prospect going into the draft that some analysts thought had the potential to be an early second round pick. In his pre-draft season, Behm scored 31 goals with 35 assists in 56 games for a team that wasn’t in the playoff race.
When he slid in the draft, it was surprising. And I was excited the Blackhawks selected him.
The more highlights I watched and ...
Elaine Chuli made 29 saves as the Toronto Sceptres defeated the Montreal Victoire 2-1 on Saturday afternoon in front of 18,107 fans at the Bell Centre.
Chuli, who spent two seasons as Montreal’s backup got her first start against her former team and in the Bell Centre to boot. Raygan Kirk started the first two Montreal-Toronto games of the season.
“It’s a pretty special building,” said Chuli. “I tried to just approach it like any other game in any other building but, yeah, really hap...
Did you enjoy your little break from Seattle Seahawks football? It’s back in your life, and there’s a lot on the line in Week 17. The current NFC West leaders and No. 1 seed in the conference have a big matchup against the surprising Carolina Panthers, who have a chance to win the NFC South […]
There has been plenty of controversy this week for the Las Vegas Raiders with two games left in the season. It started with Brock Bowers going on IR, along with Jeremy Chinn, dispaying the team might be in tank mode. The following story was about Maxx Crosby having an issue with the team attempting to […]
The Houston Rockets were without Alperen Sengun, but showed that they can win without him by utilizing their depth, and the Rockets downed the Cleveland Cavaliers for the second time this year the fourth time in the last two years 117-100. The Rockets were led by Kevin Durant, who was the main focus of the […]
College football has once again returned to the virtual world in EA Sports College Football 26, allowing fans of all 134 FBS schools to take control of their favorite team. The San Diego Padres have been making moves, but the majority of the moves this offseason have come at the minor league level with a few invitations to Spring Training for specific signees. San Diego has made two significant additions to its roster with one addition, Michael King, looking more like a retention. The other […]
The Detroit Lions’ playoff hopes are dead. It’s a terrible development, and I’m sure many Lions fans are checked out because of it. But for those who are staying, there are still some stakes left in the final two weeks of the 2025 NFL season. Most notably, the Lions’ draft position is still in flux. […]
The San Francisco 49ers look to continue their push for the No. 1 seed in the NFC on Sunday night with their most unique challenge of the season against the Chicago Bears. The 49ers are coming off a rousing 48-27 Monday night victory against the Indianapolis Colts and look to continue that momentum into their […]
It was fun while it lasted. I’ve snapped back to reality, ope, there goes Chicago’s five-game win streak. Last night, in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, the Bulls slipped back under .500, and the way the game ended left a bitter taste. But hey, we’re back at it on Monday.
Let’s talk Bulls basketball.
The Bulls lost 112–103 on the second night of a back-to-back, falling to a Milwaukee Bucks team that welcomed back its star, Giannis Antetokounmpo, for the first time since December 3. ...
The Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs may be two of the biggest rivals in the NHL, but that doesn't mean they don't ever do business together. Last season ahead of the deadline the two teams pulled off a blockbuster deal involving Brandon Carlo, Fraser Minten and two draft picks, and this season, their next deal could involve Leafs' winger Matias Maccelli. The Maple Leafs have Maccelli on the trade market, even though he's back in their lineup and producing on the team's second line. Macce...
The Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts are set to square off in Week 17 of the 2025 season. “First of all, a ton of respect for what he’s doing,” head coach Liam Coen said of Colts quarterback Philip Rivers this week. “The player that he’s been throughout his entire career, I’ve watched him at N.C. State. I’ve watched […]
Connor Ingram started his third game for the Edmonton Oilers Saturday night. The overall result wasn’t what the team was hoping for, losing 3-2 to the Calgary Flames on a night where the Turkey Legs slowed the Oilers, but one promising result was Ingram’s play. He turned aside 29 of 32 shots for a .906…
What day is it?
One minute in, game over—an early mistake and zero scoring punch defined another dull, frustrating Rangers performance.
In Today’s Links: of course, we’ve got a couple of game previews, how bright is the future for our Seattle Seahawks, where Sam Darnold can get a little bit more credit, injury reports, Jalen Milroe and his progress this season, things to watch in today’s game against the Carolina Panthers, and much more! It’s game […]
We’re entering that time of year where the free agents start to squirm just the tiniest of bits. There hasn’t been much movement with the bigger named free agents as they continue to see what the market will bring them in terms of value, but teams are doing the same. It’s a game of chicken […]
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a classic story that many have read and even more are familiar with. It’s also an apt description of the stark differences between the Cowboys offense and defense, specifically their coaches. On offense, things are going fairly well. Dak Prescott is approaching the passing yards […]

Heading into this offseason, I put a very low number on the odds that the St. Louis Cardinals would deal Willson Contreras as I saw him to be an important transition piece in the first year of the true rebuild. While Brendan Donovan is commonly referred to as a “good clubhouse guy”, Contreras felt more […]
Will Osula’s future at Newcastle United remains uncertain heading into the January transfer window. Still, there is no firm expectation internally that he will leave next month, according to The Athletic’s Chris Waugh. Responding to a fan question in his latest Newcastle Q&A, Waugh pushed back on suggestions that Osula’s absence points to an imminent […]
Sitting with an 11-4 record heading into Week 17, the Bears have had the greatest turnaround in the NFC and one of the greatest in the NFL compared to last season. It’s no surprise, then, that members of their coaching staff could be high in demand for promotions when the year ends. In a Saturday […]
Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s future continues to be the subject of speculation ahead of the opening of the January transfer window. Ter Stegen has lost his place in the team following the arrival of Joan Garcia and has been told he needs to be playing regularly if he wants to be Germany’s No. 1 […]
