The Miami Dolphins have a new general manager calling the shots, and it is a name that might sound familiar to Chicago Bears fans.
General Manager Chris Grier is OUT in Miami after a reported mutual parting of ways. In his place, on the interim, will be Champ Kelly. Before the Dolphins cut ties with Grier and promoted Kelly to the interim GM spot, Kelly held the title of senior personnel executive. ESPN’s Adam Schefter has the news:
Dolphins senior personnel executive Champ Kelly now...

My high school alma mater plays a football playoff game today. Here’s hoping that this isn’t the only bit of playoff football I’ll see this year.
Desperate times often call for desperate measures. And when desperate times call for desperate measures, things tend to get weird. So you can imagine the look on my face when I saw that Chicago Bears Offensive Coordinator Declan Doyle was looking to try some “unorthodox” things in an attempt to rid the team of its penalty problem:

The Bears found themselves in unfamiliar territory as they rode the wave of a 4-game winning streak entering a matchup with the struggling Baltimore Ravens this past week. Despite the contrast in team records and the absence of Lamar Jackson, Baltimore was still viewed as the betting favorite in this game. On one hand, this […]

The Bears could be facing a backup quarterback when they take the field in Cincinnati on Sunday. Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said veteran Joe Flacco is “ 50-50 ” to play against Chicago as he continues to battle a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder. Flacco, who finished last week’s 39-38 loss to the Jets, returned to practice Thursday in a limited capacity after sitting out Wednesday, testing the injured shoulder on a rainy afternoon in Cincinnati.
Flacco’s availability remains ...

An article from ESPN yesterday suggests the Chicago Bears should be buyers before next Tuesday’s 4 pm (ET) trade deadline, and one voice is suggesting an unconventional addition to the squad. Though Chicago has few truly glaring positions of need offensively, the defense could use some help, especially up front. But Benjamin Solak floated a […]

The Ravens saved their season on Sunday with a win against the Chicago Bears. Now they attempt to shift the momentum and kickstart a run with the return of Lamar Jackson to a home-away-from-home game down in Miami against the Dolphins. I hadn’t thought about DJ Moore as a realistic trade candidate until I started browsing the NFL rumor mill.
The 2025 NFL Trade Deadline is in 5 days . As owners of a 4-3 record and an upcoming schedule featuring six of their final 10 games against teams currently holding a playoff spot, the Chicago Bears could go in any number of different directions. Sure, the Bears *COULD* swing some trades to bolster some positions of need. Or the team could trade off some pieces to gear up for next of...

The second installment of the Week 9 Chicago Bears injury report is out … and it comes with some good news.
Four Bears players were upgraded on Thursday’s Bears injury report. Among them were three of the team’s top wide receivers. Wideouts DJ Moore (hip/groin), Rome Odunze (heel), and Olamide Zaccheaus (knee) went from not practicing on Wednesday to practicing (albeit with limitations) on Thursday. If those players can put together a full practice session on Friday, then I will feel bett...

On Wednesday morning, the Detroit Lions inked star pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson to a f our-year extension worth $180 million . Hutchinson’s deal includes a $141 million guarantee. The annual average comes in at $46.5 million, making Hutchinson the second-highest-paid pass rusher in the NFL, just behind Micah Parsons and ahead of T.J. Watt and Myles Garrett. That’s bad news for the Chicago Bears.
Here’s a look at what elite pass rushers—who have reset the market in 2025—are making these da...

I think we’ll get a look at how good of a head coach Ben Johnson is with how things go for the team with new defensive back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. And I’m not sure it gets more desperate than signing Gardner-Johnson , a defensive back who will join his third different team this season. But hey, stranger things have happened. Frankly, I look forward to seeing how this plays out. Given the injury situation in the Chicago Bears secondary, there...

The calendar is turning to November and it’s time for teams to really separate themselves. Teams that are going to make a run at the playoffs have to start playing well. The teams that aren’t, are going to shift into “who do we fire?” and “how high will the draft pick be?” mode. Thankfully, the […]

Baltimore Ravens (2-5) The Ravens snapped a four-game losing streak out of the bye last Sunday, earning a desperately-needed 30-16 victory over the Chicago Bears — who had won four straight contests entering the matchup. Baltimore’s defense held the Bears to just one touchdown while scoring three of their own and winning the turnover battle. […]
