Huskies Announce 2026 Incoming Class

STORRS, Conn. - UConn field hockey head coach Paul Caddy announced the addition of 14 student-athletes to the program for the 2026 season. The class features five transfers and nine freshmen from the United States, Germany, Argentina and the Netherlands and adds experience, international competition and proven scoring ability across every position.

STORRS, Conn. - Rising women's track and field senior Malin Rahm captured a bronze medal at the 2026 Swiss National Championships, delivering a breakthrough performance in the women's 5000 meters.

Work Continues on Gampel Renovation Project

STORRS, CT - Work continues on the first phase of the Gampel Pavilion renovation project as crews progress on the full exterior and interior replacement of the roof.  This work is anticipated to be complete in late Fall 2026. Additional Phase 1 upgrades, including a new Basketball Gameday Suite and updated concessions, are advancing alongside the roof work.

Tom Moore Announces Retirement

STORRS - After an illustrious coaching and administrative career spanning nearly four decades, including 21 years at UConn, men's basketball general manager Tom Moore has announced his retirement from Connecticut. The four-time national champion has served as the program's GM for the last four seasons after he returned to UConn for his second stint as an assistant in 2018-19, a role he held until 2024-25.

Huskies Recognized with AVCA Team Academic Award

UConn Hires Gordon Getsinger As New Women’s Rowing Head Coach

STORRS, CT - Gordon Getsinger has been named the next head women's rowing coach at the University of Connecticut, announced by Director of Athletics David Benedict on Thursday. Getsinger will become just the second head coach in the program's 29-year history. His appointment is pending successful completion of the university employee onboarding process.

Huskies Recognized as IWLCA Academic Honor Squad

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -  The UConn women's lacrosse team was recognized as a 2026 IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, with four Huskies named to the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.

Huskies Compete at USATF Outdoor, Swiss National Championships

STORRS, Conn. - Rising senior Josh Mooney will compete in the men's decathlon at the 2026 USATF Outdoor Championships in New York this Thursday and Friday, with a chance to earn a spot on the World Championship Team. The national championships will be held July 23-26 at Icahn Stadium in Manhattan.
