Sooners Announce 2026-27 Men's Basketball Schedule

NORMAN — The University of Oklahoma men's basketball program announced its full 2026-27 schedule Monday, a slate highlighted by home games against five teams (No. 6 Tennessee, No. 7 Texas, No. 17 Kentucky, No. 20 Vanderbilt and No. 21 Missouri) in ESPN's summer top-25 ranking, and five more contests away from home versus ranked opponents.

Marder and Fryer Join Oklahoma Softball Support Staff

NORMAN — Oklahoma Softball head coach Patty Gasso announced Thursday the addition of Sam Marder and Billy Fryer to the support staff. Marder spent the 2021 season with the Sooners as the director of softball analytics and returns to OU as the director of player development. Fryer will serve as the video and analytics coordinator for the Sooners.

Football Home Opener vs. UTEP Moved to Night of Friday, Sept. 4

NORMAN — University of Oklahoma Vice President and Director of Athletics Roger Denny and OU Head Football Coach Brent Venables announced Monday that OU's 2026 season-opening football game against UTEP in Norman has been moved to Friday, Sept. 4, one day earlier than originally scheduled. Kickoff for the contest, which will be streamed on SEC Network+, is set for 7 p.m. CT.
