New York Jets Flight Connections 03/09/26
Good morning Gang Green Nation! Free agency is finally here. Two months after ending last season’s epic failure, the New York Jets will begin to put that behind them. They will take a boatload of cap space and try to rebuild a roster that is currently little more than an expansion team. It all begins […]
How I rank the Jets’ veteran quarterback options this offseason
The Jets are going to need to bring in at least one veteran quarterback this offseason. Unfortunately the options aren’t exactly great. Below I’ll rank the quarterbacks based on my own personal preference. I am beginning with the premise that there is no veteran quarterback worth trading for. Maybe that changes, but I don’t think […]
Jets Offseason Rumors: Team has interest in retaining three starters
The NFL’s legal tampering period begins on Monday. That is the point where free agents can start negotiating contracts with all teams. Prior to the legal tampering period, players are only allowed to negotiate with their current team. Across the league teams will look to lock in pending free agents at the last minute to […]

How an outdated rule impacts NFL free agency
With free agency set to begin, all eyes are on the amount of free salary cap space each of the 32 teams in the NFL currently has. According to Over the Cap, only four teams enter the offseason with more money to spend than the Jets. There is another critical component of free agency that […]
Does Austin McNamara’s impressive 2025 season hold up to scrutiny?
As we head into the offseason, at least there’s one position the Jets don’t need to worry about right now. After an impressive first NFL season, punter Austin McNamara is under contract for 2026 and the Jets control his rights as an exclusive rights free agent in 2027. They’ll even retain some control over him […]
Why a number of veteran quarterbacks won’t be expensive in NFL free agency for the Jets and other teams
NFL free agency is set to start on Monday as the legal tampering period opens. The Jets will be looking for help at the quarterback position. It may come as a surprise, but some of the biggest names available will come with a small price tag. Kyler Murray, Tua Tagovailoa, and Geno Smith are among […]

Dane Brugler’s NFL mock draft has the Jets restocking their defense
The Athletic’s Dane Brugler has put out a post-Combine mock draft. Brugler is generally considered a high level Draft analyst so his thoughts are worth noting. 2. The Jets are considering two veteran starting quarterbacks per reports
The Jets need to find a starting quarterback in 2026. There aren’t many quality options on the market. However, over the last few days a pair of teams announced they were moving on from big money veteran starting quarterbacks. The Cardinals are parting ways with Kyler Murray after seven years, while the Dolphins are doing […]

Jets will place franchise tag on running back Breece Hall
The Jets are going to use the franchise tag on Breece Hall per Connor Hughes. This is not a surprise. Jets general manager Darren Mougey said just a few days ago that the Jets would tag Hall if the team could not work out a long-term extension for the running back by today’s deadline. There […]
The Jets aren’t interested in one big name quarterback per report
The quarterback situation is anything but clear for the New York Jets heading into free agency. The team could go in a number of directions. One direction the Jets will not go is veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins. Brian Costello of the New York Post reports the team has no interest in the 38 year old […]

Report: Jets trying to get Breece Hall signed before tag deadline
Last week at the NFL Scouting Combine, Jets general manager Darren Mougey indicated that the team would use either the franchise tag or the transition tag on running back Breece Hall if the two sides could not agree to a long-term contract before tomorrow’s deadline to use the tags. We still have no deal struck, […]

Jets fans don’t have a consensus quarterback choice
The Jets 2026 quarterback situation is up in the air as we approach free agency. The only two quarterbacks the team has under contract for next season, Justin Fields and Brady Cook, were among the least effective signal callers in the league in 2025. Unfortunately, the list of options available in free agency and on […]
