Poirier has fill a full-time, AHL role for the last four seasons. Two players were claimed off waivers by NHL teams on Sunday. According to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, the New Jersey Devils claimed goaltender Remi Poirier from the Dallas Stars. Meanwhile, Friedman also reported the St. Louis Blues claimed defenseman Justin Barron from the Nashville Predators. The other 16 players that were placed on waivers Saturday cleared.
