First off: I’ll be at my brother’s wedding and spending time with family for the next week. In my absence, Xiane and Holly will be taking over the game previews for Houston’s next four games. Please be kind to them and engage in meaningful and respectful conversation in the comments. Things are bad for the […]

The Dallas Mavericks (14-25) are home for a bit and start off this stretch by hosting the Brooklyn Nets (11-25) on Monday night. Dallas got waxed by the Chicago Bulls on Saturday in the first dead performance from the Mavericks in some time. The Nets are on a three-game losing streak and most recently fell […]

The Chicago Bulls’ best player, point guard Josh Giddey , had been in the midst of a fringe All-Star season (fine, fine, maybe a fringe All-Star injury replacement season). But he’s also been out of commission for the last two weeks with a hamstring strain.
With Chicago set to square off against lottery teams three times in the next six days, the team could certainly use as many healthy bodies as it can get to notch easy wins.
According to Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic , Giddey has be...

It’s been a really fun weekend in Chicago, and now we’re right back into Monday, dodging the Blues and seeing Red. The Bulls have a long week ahead: four games in six days, starting tomorrow against the Houston Rockets. If they can wrap this stretch with at least three wins against mostly non-playoff teams, I’d say this weekend’s happiness has a real chance to survive all the way to next Sunday.
Let’s talk Bulls basketball.
The Bulls will be taking on the Houston Rockets at a very ...

Michael Jordan over Craig Ehlo. Patrick Kane’s backhander for the hat trick against the Canucks. Caleb Williams’ 4th-and-8 throw to Rome Odunze in the 4th Quarter.
By no means am I saying the Bears are on their way to dynasty runs like Michael Jordan’s Bulls or the Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews era Blackhawks. But if we’re fortunate enough to see Caleb Williams lead the Bears to a Super Bowl at one point, we’re going to look back at that throw as the official stamp of arrival. Jordan an...

What a night!
On January 10, the Chicago Bulls, the Blackhawks , the Cubs , and the Bears all grabbed a win of their own. The city is riding a wave of euphoria it doesn’t quite know how to handle, but it’s handling it with a lot of smiles and plenty of flexing on social media. I don’t know about you, but the way the Bulls won last night was the real surprise.
What a 2-hour span for the Windy City. Have yourself a night, Chicago! 🤩 pic.twitter.com/DLENZKgNmx — SportsCenter (@S...

When I found out that all three Chicago teams were playing tonight, I figured at least two would win — but I never would’ve guessed all three and the Bulls would be one of them. In surprisingly dominant fashion, the Bulls joined the Bears in victory even before their game even ended, making Chicago native and Packers fan Anthony Davis sit there and watch both his team get demolished by Chicago.

The Dallas Mavericks got ran off the floor, literally, against the Chicago Bulls 125-107 Saturday night in Chicago. Dallas drops their second straight game against a losing team, their first game since Anthony Davis injured his hand in the loss against the Jazz on Thursday night. The Dallas Mavericks (14-25) began a new era of sorts on Saturday night against the Chicago Bulls (18-20) — one where Anthony Davis is out for the foreseeable future. The Mavs came in with a 4-14 record in games Davis sits, and ended up with another loss after a 125-107 beat down. Let’s get to […]

The Chicago Bulls haven’t been fully honest about the nature of a key player’s injury? What a shock. Reserve center Zach Collins , Chicago’s best rim defender, has been on the shelf for nearly two weeks with a big toe sprain.
Per Kyle Williams of the Chicago Sun-Times , the oft-hurt veteran big man isn’t expected back any time soon. Now wearing a walking boot, Collins has incurred a “pretty significant sprain,” according to Chicago head coach Billy Donovan . There are currently no plans f...

Dallas Mavericks superstar Anthony Davis won’t be available to face his hometown Chicago Bulls on Saturday. So we’ve got that going for us… which is nice.
That’s just some of the good news for Chicago at the start of this weekend. Health-wise, the Bulls also seem to have benefited from an unexpected three-day break following their 108-93 home loss to the very shorthanded Detroit Pistons .
Chicago was set to host the Miami Heat the night after that Pistons loss. Instead, the combinati...

Here I am, putting together an NBA Mock Draft. And even if I aim for the most realistic version possible, this is a league where, clearly, anything is possible.
It’s been a weird week in the NBA. We watched a four-time NBA All-Star, Trae Young, still in his prime, get salary-dumped. We saw Rick Carlisle finally reach 1,000 career wins, a milestone that took nearly a month to secure because his team dropped thirteen straight games along the way. And somehow, we even saw an indoor basketbal...

On Thursday night, the 17-20 Chicago Bulls were looking to stave off a four-game losing skid with a home clash against the similarly semi-mediocre 20-17 Miami Heat.
Instead, a two-hour delay due to melting ice beneath the hardwood eventually spiraled into a decision from the two teams and the NBA to postpone the action to another day altogether.
It was a strange broadcast to behold (more on that later). But at least the undermanned Bulls, who would have been playing on the second nig...

The Chicago Bulls had their clock cleaned, 108-93, by an equally banged-up Detroit Pistons club on Wednesday. Now, the Bulls will square off against another higher-seeded Eastern Conference team in the Miami Heat.
Chicago has looked a bit hapless without starting point guard Josh Giddey available, having gone 2-3 in his absence. Of course, it hasn’t helped that starting two-guard Coby White has missed four of those games, power forward/center Jalen Smith has missed a pair, and center Zach...

It’s that time of the week again! Honestly, every time the Chicago Bulls lose a game or announce an injury, the idea of looking ahead to the NBA Draft gets extra exciting. That, in turn, makes following college ball more fun, and gives me even more reason to write this article.
Now, I won’t pretend there isn’t an elephant in the room that needs acknowledging. With the current state of college basketball, former NBA draft picks playing in college, a 25-year-old who’s already logged time in...

I assumed that, by being born in the 2000s, I was finally liberated from a Pistons player named Isiah haunting Bulls fans’ nightmares. Clearly, I was mistaken, because in 2026, an Isaiah from Detroit is still haunting Chicago.
The Detroit Pistons played without Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren, their two best players, which wipes out any excuse Chicago could lean on about injuries. The Bulls actually played the better game for three quarters, but that fourth-quarter collapse will stick wit...

Tonight, the Chicago Bulls will look to rebuild from a 115-101 Monday road loss to the Boston Celtics that, honestly, thanks to a late fourth quarter semi-push, wasn’t even as “close” as that final margin looks. Unfortunately, they’re trying to recover from a defeat against the Eastern Conference’s No. 2 seed with a tilt against… its No. 1 seed, the 27-9 Detroit Pistons.
Detroit will seek to extend its two-game win streak at home, while Chicago is hoping to avoid a three-game skid.
