Analysis is best left for front office types. General managers shouldn't be making decisions based on gut decisions; acting and reacting reflexively is a recipe for distaster. Similarly, commissioners, union leaders, sportswriters and sports policy makers need to make decisions based on reason and not on faith. Madness is fine, so long as there's a method that makes sense. We're here to second-guess them, because they deserve nothing less. We are not armchair quarterbacks. We are Armchair GMs.
